Micky Barnard (542 KP) rated Me Before You in Books

Emotive and challenging
I had to take a few days breather before writing a review for this book. It is an truly emotive read, challenging your personal ethics by drawing you into the lives of Louisa and Will. I am not going to elaborate because it will very quickly become spoilery. Suffice it to say that it is very well written, it tackles a significantly poignant issue of the current era and it left me upset, disturbed and satisfied.
AT (1676 KP) rated Alice in the Country of Hearts, Vol. 02 (Alice in the Country of Hearts, #2) in Books
Nov 15, 2019
Volume 2 of Alice in the Country of Hearts was a very quick read. The characters are beginning to show their true colors, so some of their interactions were more interesting than they were in the first volume. There were a handful of parts that seemed random, but overall, it continued on its trippy story path. On a personal note, I didn't think that the White Rabbit could become more annoying, but I was wrong. Success! Lol
Lynne (18 KP) rated Mindhunter - Season 1 in TV

There is so much out there on this stuff I was reluctant to watch. Now I'm hooked! Not for people who are offended by language and pretty graphic descriptions of violent crimes. I like how they delve into the personal lives of each task force member to see how listening to these serial killers is so emotionally draining and seriously affecting their relationships. Fascinating look into how profiling and forensics have evolved since the 70's.
Kim Tierney (5309 KP) rated Starship Troopers in Books

Science Fiction is not my genre, so I did not read this one by personal choice. It was assigned for a literature class which meant that as much as I did not want to finish the book, I had to. Overall, for not being my genre it was a better read than I had expected it to be. At times the story seemed confused as to the direction it was going, but I think that was intentional by Heinlein.
Kate (355 KP) rated Gmail - Email by Google in Apps

Brilliant
I use this all the time on my iPad, it is brilliant and having several gmail accounts for personal and business use, it shows them all so I only have to log into one place. The only bugbear is that if I have set up a signature or group emails on the laptop, it doesn’t transfer over to the iPad so have to type them in separately, but apart from that it is so useful.

Shane Dawson
This laugh out loud funny collection of essays from YouTuber Shane Dawson is incredible. I'm a huge, yet new, fan and the second I found out he had a book I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Reading this felt like listening to a friend tell you stories. With his out there sense of humor you get just a small glimpse into his personal life and I was so grateful and entertained. Amazing book!
