Stuff you Missed in History Class is all the things I wish I would have actually learned in school. From the stories you think you have already heard to things you would not think to look into this podcast covers them all. In the coverage, the overviews are often more informative then hours in the classroom. I love listening to Tracy and Holly tell the well-researched and well thought outlines full of what is promised history. This podcast leaves out most of the personal feelings of the hosts, which is very nice as well. Episode suggestions: New England Vampire Panic and Building Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion.

Let's go to war!
I'm always weary of sporting films especially a new boxing or in this case MMA film but Warrior is a cut above the rest. As stated above, the best part of the film is Hardy, Edgerton and Nolte, their characters have such depth and all have a personal and tragic obstacle to tackle. I found the filming and the setting of the Burgh (Pittsburgh) to be a perfect touch. The films is emotional in multiple places and this is heightened by a excellently selected soundtrack from The National. One to watch again and again. Love it.

Politically-shifting mindblowing manifesto
Explosive, at times traumatizing and frustrating but ultimately hopeful - Naomi Klein's extensive knowledge and wealth of experience exudes in this mighty manifesto. Her anecdotes are both heartfelt and moving juxtaposed with endless hard-hitting facts, she's a master in her field and an appropriate figure attempting to initiate a global grassroots movement against ecocidal capitalism and right wing populism. This book, unlike her other works, feels much more personal as she states she didn't spend years researching, but it feels very much like a response to growing anger. That being said, it is still well structured and the arguments are coherent. A truly politically-shifting book

Is it bad that it took me a year to get to reading this book? Does that say something about me, or the book? Who knows.

Upon starting this bok I admit I had high expectations. I’m fairly spoiled when it comes to reading good books. And if a book isn’t something I like, I figure life is too short to waste my time reading it. The thing about this book is it was mildly entertaining, but if I want to read a book of funny personal essays, I’m going to read David Sedaris or the like. Sorry Mr. Goldstein, I’m just not diggin’ it.

Vivid characters
A fantasy world with a mix of its own mythology and steampunk science.
Beautifully written. Poignant, flawed but full of hope and wonder.
I really enjoyed this book. Its different but beautifully written. The characters are flawed but they all have a part to play that makes you want to keep reading. The author created an interesting world of mythology, ancient wondrous, unreachable lost cities. Magic and science co exist in a steampunk like culture, but also highlights the social and personal struggles of the people who live in it. Apathy, addiction, corruption, revolution and hope. Some people say it's slow, just keep reading, its worth it.

This series was great and I really hope they do more because I need more.
The story lines within each episode were fun and thrilling and left you wanting to watch the next one.

Each individual episode progressed the story along nicely although you have to really watch to follow it sometimes, as one missed bit of information can leave you confused.
I loved how you slowly learnt more and more about each character and what their own personal stories and abilities are.
Highly recommend this series and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I rate this with a 3 since there aren't any half ratings ...this is more a 3.5 star review. I was both happy and sad with this book. Sad, because unlike with the BDB, I wasn't instantly sucked into the story line. It took me a long time to get into the story and really feel apart of it. That said, the characters were intriguing and definitely full of emotion that I could feel. I hope that the next book in Ward's Bourbon Kings series is easier to get into.

He's still standing
Where do i start when it comes to a film about to excentric yet turbulent years in elton john's life. Everyone was cast to perfection with lead star taron with a knockout elton. Dexter fletcher's brilliant mix of song and mixed with his personal life troubles. Just goes to what a talented director (and the right one) to pull of and entertaining. Joyus with heart. The film also showcases the long lasting to this day relarionship with his musical collabarator bernie turpin (played by jaime bell). All in all a must see for rock and music fans everywhere.

Max Holman has just been released from prison when he gets the news that his estranged son, a police officer, has been murdered. When the official story doesn't add up, Max begins poking around. But is he in over his head?

Another of Crais' stand alone novels, I found this one rather disappointing. The plot was a little too obvious. And, as a completely personal issue, the language also bothered me. On the other hand, the characters were great and compelled me further into the story.

Chris Pratt steals the show
I loved this! Just as much as I enjoyed the first one. Chris Pratt brings so much humour and "normalmess" to the film. Finding out more about his character and watching the developing relationships and new relationships form felt personal. It had such a feel good feeling surrounding it even when emotions were high. Of course it was action packed with a strong vast. I didn't think baby groot could have had a decent role with this film, but I was surprised and accepting of his role and appearance. I could watch this over and over.
I can't forget to add that the soundtrack is awesome!
