Chelsea Handler is a crazy lady!! This book starts out with her taking a picture of her parents having sex and ends up with her taking a break from men. In between is a rash of one night stands and partying and tons and tons of drinking. I can't say that I am a Chelsea Handler fan, I may have watched a total of 5 mins of her show on E!, but reading this book makes me want to check it out. If you want to read about an alcoholic sex fiend this is a good read for you. It made me laugh, I could relate to some parts of it as well.

The cover picture for this book caught my eye while I was browsing for patterns to stash bust/single skein patterns, as it's a very simple pattern that can be worked up in any colourway and modified in countless ways.

I decided to get the book as part of my Scribd subscription, to browse the patterns while I got on with my cushion.

While a lot of the patterns are very pretty and some I would consider making, so many of them are freely available on the internet, with much more in-depth guidance for a beginner. I was a little disappointed that there weren't more original patterns from the writers, rather than so many "generic" crochet patterns.

I really loved the premise of this book. Science mixed with magic and what happens when you don't exactly know the problems that could arise. The action was abundant and exciting. I mean it starts with a tornado and people dying. If that isn't throwing you right into the middle of it.

The book includes artwork that is reminiscent of comic books and give you a sense of what the characters look like in the authors mind. It helped me picture a lot of things that weren't properly shown.
The ending was enjoyable and showed that not all family is blood.
If you liked any of the other books by these authors then definitely check it out.

Quirky
Well these are not your traditional idea of toys.

Some are frankly a bit odd looking. When looking though the book I sometimes thought "That looks like someone has made a toy pattern from a kids picture." They are often quite weird looking, and yet strangely appealing.

If you like slightly odd toys... this is definitely the book for you.

The patterns themselves are clearly written, with lots of colourful pictures and full colour charts where needed.

So far I have made a black Rill Raccoon as my 10 yr old fell in love with the idea of a Ninja raccoon... and I will be making a LOT more
