An ok action/drama film as a young reporter discovers a possible cover-up by a group of police officers. Which puts his own life in danger. There are better examples of this type of film around though.

Dr. Freida Klein is a psychotherapist and a "consultant" with the London police. She is helping the police solve the murder of Robert Poole, whose body was found in the apartment of a mentally unstable woman, Michelle Doyce. The police are ready to close the case. With Michelle unfit to stand trial, she will spend her time in a mental institution....Case Closed! But Freida saw past all that into something much more. Putting her life on the line and confronting witnesses without the help of the police, are just part of what makes up Dr. Klein. And, you'll never guess who did it. The book had me on the edge of my seat from page one.
Can't wait to read more in this series and really bummed that I didn't read [b:Blue Monday|10940958|Blue Monday (Frieda Klein, #1)|Nicci French|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1327188223s/10940958.jpg|15858219] first, but it has been add to my "To Read" list.
The part about this book that made me give it five stars is that it had me from the beginning and it was hard to figure out who the killer was. Too many people had a motive. Nicci French did a really amazing job of keeping the suspense.

Uk drama based on the real life case of serial killer, Levi Bellfield. This is shown from the police point of view as they investigate the murder of Amelie Delagrange. Eventually linking it to the murders of Milly Dowler and Marsha McDonnell.

The new Castle
brilliant new police procedural with a light hearted edge, but yet sometimes surprising real feeling. The show does a good job of making you care about the rookies and what happens to them.
Kristin (149 KP) rated Stage Business in Books

This book was unlike anything I've read before in that the characters are stage actors playing detectives in order to solve a case on their own without involving police (due to specific reasons that are laid out over the course of the story). It makes total sense now, but I never would've thought that undercover police work is basically just acting, so who better than actual actors to do the work? It's such an interesting story, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little mystery and detective stories with a bit of a twist on the usual.

Intimidation and Corruption
Dark Blue- is a good crime thriller.
The plot: Set in the Los Angeles Police Department in 1992, "Dark Blue" is a thriller that takes place just days before the acquittal of four white officers in the beating of black motorist Rodney King and the subsequent L.A. riots. In this racially charged climate, the LAPD's elite Special Investigations Squad is assigned a quadruple homicide. As they work the case, detective Eldon (Kurt Russell), tutors SIS rookie Bobby (Scott Speedman) in the realities of police intimidation and corruption.
I would highly recordmed watching it.

Icelandic not-so noir
Does no one tell the truth to the police anymore? Even if they’re innocent?!
It seems that everyone wants to keep their secrets to themselves in this book, even if they think the information might relate to the murder of an Italian tourist. A camera crew, who are filming a documentary about Gudrid the Wanderer in Iceland, find her body outside a church where they’re filming. Magnus Jonson is in charge of the police investigation.
I really enjoyed the references to the Icelandic Sagas (I’ve now got a book of them on my Christmas list!), and Magnus seems to be a very nice police officer! Everyone else appears to just be looking out for themselves, to the detriment of everyone else.
Great story though! This is the fifth in a series, I haven’t read the others, and I don’t think it actually matters story-wise. I would very much like to read the others though!!
