An aptly-timed anthology amid political turmoil
It's a wonderful array of female voices from all walks of life, my criticism comes in the form of possibly too many perspectives from Scotland and not many other places. There were a few too many arts focused viewpoints with third person interviews, a little amateurish editing, and the compilation of women could be more finessed.

That being said - I'm over the moon about intersectional feminism being discussed. A joy to read and a bit of a relief. It's no Vagina Monologues, but's still fairly decent.

A very stylish crime tale that carries a political message along with it. It's very brutal and graphic at times with a very gritty feel to the whole film. Quite a slow burner at times, it finally gets going at a quicker pace about two thirds of the way in. A bit more action and less drawn out dialogue scenes, for the sake of it rather than needed at that, would have made it better in my opinion. However with a cast like this you can just sit back and enjoy the story.

I learned a lot about the Obama's from this book. I think the book is an inspiration to anyone who has big dreams...if you set your mind to it, you can do it. The author could have left out some things to focus more on the relationship. The story of their wedding was a page...I would have liked to know more about those days and the birth not their children as opposed to so much involving just the political aspect. Overall I enjoyed the book...although more informative than enjoyable.
