Gary Oldman was realistic and fantastic in his portrayal of Churchill and deserves the acclaim he is receiving. I felt the film dragged in parts but overall, despite not being a fan of politics or historical films, I thought the film was good. It also taught me some things that I was not aware of, that Churchill was not respected by his peers and thought of as a good speaker but a bit of a joke otherwise.
