Great Book
I really enjoyed this book. Merilee and Sugar were both interesting characters. The flash backs that show Sugar's past help you get invested in her story without taking away from Merilee's current day problems. The friendship between the two really sets this book apart.

Of the Hallmark movies I have seen, this one is not that bad. I am not a fan of most Hallmark movies, but I was able to enjoy myself during this movie. This movie is not devoid of problems, but the characters do carry this movie.

When Sophie's mortgage on her dream home gets out of hand, the less than conventional solution she comes up with ends up making even more problems. Read my review of this clever and thought provoking novel here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/08/14/the-sparkle-and-its-tarnish/

Rolling Stone's 476th greatest album of all time
I quite enjoyed this album, good quality hip hop, though I think that was mostly achieved with guest vocals. Hypnotize and Mo Money Mo Problems are incredible songs and the rest was pretty good. Much fewer annoying interlude "skits" too.
