A Letter for Lancaster County is a good sweet story. It seems about a redemption and learning to deal with death and grief. What a lovely plot. Katie Lloyd does a good job with it. We get the perspective of the main characters named Rose and Angelina.
They get a letter from their aunt Sylvia. Both girls is dealing with their own problems and grief of their mother. Will they learn that letting go and have faith? There a budding romance going on as well. What could that be and can Glenn and Rose being a match? You will need to find out by reading.
Can Angelina figure out what going on at home and her husband and family? To find that out, you will need to read to determine that. They find out that their Aunt Sylvia is sick, Will Rose decide to stay or will she go back to her home in Washington? This is a lovely and sweet story of love, friendship, and redemptions.

A true (fictional) history of a rock band!
I loved everything about this book. I’ve wanted to be in a Rock band since I was a small child. There were only two small problems with this: 1. Only I think I can sing; and 2. My mum would only let me learn to play the clarinet, not the guitar. Life is so unfair... Instead I live vicariously through my favourite bands and books like this!
Told through interviews with the various band members, we hear the story of the rise to fame of The Six, and their chance meeting with Daisy Jones. We hear the fascinating story of their relationships, particularly that between Billy the lead singer, and Daisy the OTHER lead singer.
It’s all very Fleetwood Mac - the love affairs, the break ups - I loved it! And yes, I did listen to Rumours once or twice whilst I was reading. How could I not?

When its good, its very good but when its bad, its horrid.
I have been using instagram for about 7 years now and when it first came out I wasn't too sure if I liked the idea of it ... its basically facebook but with photos which is fine. I use instagram now as one of my most used apps and I enjoy watching peoples stories, connecting with people easily and I can watch the search page for hours sometimes.
However when there are problems with instagram they can be horrendous! It can log you out, freeze your phone completely and there are areas of instagram that are so dark and mentally quite disturbing that it could cause real distress. This would be something I would watch and manage carefully especially with children but it is overall an amazing platform.

Audrey Bloom is excited when the reality TV show Fix My Wedding is coming to town, especially when she gets to design the bridal bouquet. Okay, so the bride is a bit bell obsessed, but she can make it work. Unfortunately, that becomes the least of her problems when one of the hosts of the show is killed and the police begin to suspect Audrey’s former boyfriend, a production assistant on the show.
This series is already on my favorites list after just two books. The characters are wonderful and the so real. This applies to the series regulars and the suspects in this book. The plot is intriguing and kept the surprises coming until the end. Add in a dash of humor, and you’ve got another winner.

Botticelli's Bastard + Giveway This my first in this kind of book dealing with art and history. It a good book and interesting. It deals with Germany and take over of Europe in the 1940's. I liked the idea of the painting talking and telling detail about his owners. That what is been so neat about it. I love the fact that Giovanni started with a discovery of stolen art.
Giovanni has some family problems that it so funny in a way that he find a discovery to lift his spirit. The author was good and i enjoyed the book. I rate this book at 4 1/2 stars. Those the painting stories about himself is so funny that you want to laugh. It makes you want to find out more of they mystery of the painting. As usual, too much romance for my tastes--but the rest made up for it. I keep reading Sinclair's work, even though it is largely romance, because she also has good plots and does a good job with character development. Unlike many authors, each of her main characters is a well-defined individual, not "another good guy" or "another beautiful-yet-insecure woman." There was a touch of beautiful-yet-insecure in Rya Bennton (SUCH an annoying clich@eacute;!), but she got past it.
Some of the things that annoy me the most are, apparently, standard romance memes. Having relationship problems just because nobody will say, "Hey, this is what I want and need, how about you?" is fairly realistic, but I'd love to see SOMEBODY in a book who has grown past that.
Anyway, this was a worthy read, and it does stand alone, but everything will make far more sense if you read the earlier books in the same universe.

The Very Very Very Long Dogby Julia Patton is a cute book about a dogs adventure through town. The story is funny and light hearted. This story teaches to accept everyone no matter their differences.
Bartleby lives in a bookstore and has many friends. The friendly dog makes everyone smile when he goes out with his friends; however, he often has no idea what his back portion is doing since he is so long. His friends usually patch things up when he causes many problems, but one day, he makes a very big mess, and even ends up attacking his own bottom. Thank goodness his friends figure out a solution to the problem so that Bartleby doesn't have to remain in the bookstore.
I enjoyed how loyal this dog's friends remain to him and how they work to come up with a solution to his problem. The illustrations are unique. The book touches on being yourself and embracing your uniqueness.

Beauty Beast Meets The Fairy World
As shallow as this is, I’ve put off starting this book because the cover and title were not attractive to me. However, I’ve received a ton of recommendations and we chose this book for book club so I finally took the plunge. Long story short.. I shouldn’t have put it off! From the moment I started the book I couldn’t put it down. The entire time the book reminded me of Beauty and the Beast. Maybe a small part reminded me of The Hunger Games too.
I really loved how descriptive the author was. I had no problems visualizing the fairy world and all of the people in it. I even found myself rereading the descriptions because of how lovely they are worded.
Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the fairy world and enjoyes escaping in a book to a magical place!

Djinn-tastic!! (OK, I know that's bad)
Wow! Magic, Djinns, Ifrits, Daevas - what's not to like?! This was such an engrossing read. Set from two points of view: Nahri, a poor orphaned healer and con-artist and Ali, the youngest son of the King of Daevabad. Their lives meet and are entwined in such a way as to be completely believable. The politics of the realm are much like apartheid, in that Shafit cannot mix with full-blooded Daevas or Djinn. They live in substandard conditions, and Ali tries to change that. He unwittingly causes huge problems.
This is the first in a trilogy, so my only complaint would be that I've now read the first one so close to the release date, that I'm now going to have to wait for AGES for the next part!! Bad planning on my part! I think I'd be more than happy to reread this before the second in the trilogy releases though.

Winery owner and amateur sleuth Penny Lively is knee deep in another murder. There is trouble at the veterinarian’s office where Cousin Annie is being accused of murder. She is found standing over the body of her business partner and holding the murder weapon. It is not what it looks like so Penny is on the case to find the real murderer and clear Annie’s good name.
The book has a lot of great suspects to choose from; the grieving widow, the fired vet tech, an old friend that’s in love with the grieving widow, a flirty business rep, and a bookkeeper with memory problems. Just when you think you know who the murderer could be, another murder takes place. The characters are quirky and enjoyable, the pace of the book is good, and the plot/mystery has enough twists and turns.
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone without much confusion.
