Rolling Stone's 338th greatest album of all time
Great psychedelic rock album, Janis Joplin's voice at times powerful, raw and shrill, at other times soft and vulnerable. A very authentic and engaging live album.

Very enjoyable listening on this plodding slightly psychedelic album. Off The Record is a standout track but the whole album is a good laid back listen.

Rolling Stone's 55th greatest album of all time
Excellent psychedelic rock album, putting the emphasis on the rock. At times very trippy with some quite annoying stereo-meddling, at others just plain superb rock anthems.

Rolling Stone's 15th greatest album of all time
Brilliant psychedelic rock album, including the familiar (for me thanks to Wayne's World) Foxy Lady and Fire, and also the superb prog-rock of 3rd Stone from the Sun.

There is so much going on, musically, with this album. It's a experimental progression which includes strings, Indian music and psychedelic sounds - trippy! (1 more)
The Beatles really played with this, including backward recordings and what you get is as usual, brilliant.

Rolling Stone's 100th greatest album of all time
Possibly the best, most underrated album of the 60s. Time of the Season perfectly encapsulates my view of the 60s. Perfectly nailing the pop sensibilities of the time, with creeping psychedelic themes.

Excellent debut from the frontrunners of the Krautrock scene. Psychedelic rock at its best. Stand out tracks are Father Cannot Yell and the epic 20 minute You Doo Right. Essential listening to anyone delving into this vast genre of music.

"“They’re directed by Godfrey Reggio, with a soundtrack by Phillip Glass, and they’re just three-hour-long never-ending loops of psychedelic imagery. I remember I was pranging out after a gig once and I couldn’t sleep, so I watched six hours of it back to back."
