"It’s the seminal punk rock album ever and it's the album that inspired 10,000 punk bands. It's so minimalist and raw - the production and even the way it's recorded and mixed, with the guitar panel inside the bass and drums. It clocks in 23 minutes or something; it sorta set the tempo for at least one thang that punk-rock would become. The lyrics were sort of cartoony but they also had this stern attitude. It's the classic classic punk rock album."

Fat lip

Great debut studio album

For me this was one of the best albums of the early 2000's it was a great new punk rock sound and had some really catchy songs that would be stuck in your head. Even now it is one of the classic punk rock albums and some songs like In Too Deep still sound great and haven't dated.

"Heard this on the radio a few weeks back. They’re a Scottish punk band from 1979. Love the scratchy guitars and the vocals. Reminded me of when we first started Supergrass in terms of the punk energy mixed with a musical and melodic edge."

Rolling Stone's 413th greatest album of all time

Superb load of post-hardcore punk. Fitting in somewhere between Black Flag and Fugazi, these are fast silly punk songs with adventurous bass lines. Featuring Corona, the opening of which is used in the Jackass theme tune.

Pre punk to post punk

As a lover of Punk it was only a matter of time before I watched this and it felt like a compilation album with extended talking in between. Loosely based on Hilly Crystal the owner of CBGS's in New York and the place where punk was formed.

There are appearances from Television, Talking Heads, The Ramones, The Dead Boys and it shows that Blondies did have more fun. The story is nothing too taxing and it's weaved round the music. Some famous faces and a Harry Potter characters bare bum as he proves his natural hair colour out of the cameras beady eye.

So if you like Punk, bare bums and don't mind a young Sting then this could help your life in a small way
