Memento (2000)

Very unique storytelling
If you are a Christopher Nolan fan, or even a fan of movies that make you think, you should give Memento a try.

The story is pretty simple about a man (Guy Pearce) who is trying to remember details relating to the murder or death of his wife. The problem: the suffers from short term memory loss and wakes up every day having to start over.

Maybe like a serious version of Groundhog Day, Memento is such a fascinating slow burn, slow reveal of details. As the man encounters the creepy individuals who inhabit his life, he does not know who to trust or how the puzzle pieces will ultimately fit together.

If you watch the movie 10 times, you will find different layers in it each time.

A must watch!

I really enjoyed this film - it had a great atmosphere to it, and was really frustrating at times.

This is Dean's second novel featuring reporter Tuva Moodyson.

Set in the northerly town of Gravik, death arrives in the shape of suicide: the owner of the town's main employer - a liqourice factory - throws himself to his death one morning.

It's solid piece of crime fiction with a plot that weaves around and throws out plenty of misdirection, keeping the reader on their puzzle-solving toes.

What gives this book edge is the characters. Dean has delivered some of the most believable female characters I have ever read, and chief amongst them is Cece. That old woman is an absolute delight and should have books all of her own. I don't know if she is modelled on a flesh and blood person, but Will gets full marks just for writing her in.

I've always loved everything about the Titanic shipwreck. Not to sound kooky, but I'm pretty sure I died by drowning in a previous life, and I've always been drawn to the Titanic.

This new game preview showed up in one of my social media feeds and I wanted to share it with y'all. It's a puzzle and mystery game that takes place on the ship. You'll have to traverse the ship, talk to passengers and crew and solve puzzles. I think they did a pretty good job with graphics and soundtrack and I'm very interested in checking it out when it becomes available. What do you think of the preview and description?
