Erika (17788 KP) rated Betron AMT30 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones in Tech
Dec 29, 2018
I received these headphones from Smashbomb in exchange for a review.
I've had these headphones for a few weeks and I really like them. They charge quickly, and the bluetooth nearly transmits throughout my small apartment. They're perfect for rowing/working out in general and for blocking out the stomping/screaming child that lives above me.
I do have a pair of wired, Bose noise canceling headphones, so the sound quality of these headphones in comparison is a little different, but still good.

Ok... This movie... I don't know. For a movie made around the same time as The Sound of Music and Doctor Zhivago, this movie does not hold up. It is of a much lower quality. The pacing of this movie is very slow and the movie needs to pick a main character. I absolutely agree with nomination for Alan Arkin as best actor. But that is about where the benefits of this movie end. I wouldn't watch this film again.

The sound is great when playing music. (1 more)
Can have alot of laughs playing the quizzes
A handy little device
This was the birthday pressie I never knew I wanted.
My husband bought me this for my birthday and I must admit when I seen it I wasnt to excited by it, but now I am constantly using it and absolutely love it.
When I'm playing music (which is all the time) the sound quality is so good, It fills the whole house.
We often play the quizzes and challenge each other which is a lot of fun especially when we are quite competitive with each other.
It helps keep my pug entertained and soothes him while we aren't at home.

Noisy (2 more)
Sound quality
Some ports didn't work?
Disappointing
Well this is a shame I got this through the giveaway competition. I've tried to give it a good test but it didn't fare well.
The good thing is the projection area can be very large and still fairly sharp in focus. It recommends up to 60" but could easily get closer to 80" TV screen size equivalent. Any bigger and the image wouldn't be as sharp or colourful but if you don't mind that it could take up a whole wall. The HDMi port works so you could connect it to your sky box, xbox, dvd player. The sound quality from it isn't great though as it's only a small device, unless you also connect a speaker. It can be a little noisy as well during operation.
Unfortunately the microSD card and USB ports don't appear to be working on this unit? I tried a couple of cards and a USB card reader but nothing worked. This would be handy for viewing photos. It also has an AV port for music. It does come with a remote, HDMi cable and an adapter that would work with a camcorder or even a Wii console.
The power cable isn't particularly long but once charged it can be used cordless. It doesn't really have a stand to help if you wanted to project onto your ceiling.
So it really depends what you are going to use it for. Plug your xbox in for wall size gaming, or your phone via HDMi to watch Netflix, YouTube etc. I don't think it's something you would use for serious movie watching if you care about the sound quality as well unless you connect headphones or a speaker as well via the phonejack.

HLD (99 KP) rated Samsung Galaxy S9 in Tech

Screen resolution is top notch - just remember to change it from the factory default (4 more)
Curved screen took a while to get used to, but is lovely and useful
The camera is sublime
Finger print scanner is in a great position
The sound quality is quite good. The dolby surround sound option makes playing games on it really fun
Battery life could be improved. But I run everything I can on normal/high settings (2 more)
Going from a larger phone to the standard S9 is taking some getting used to. Constant mistyping plagues my conversations
Bixby button - Why?!
An absolute beaut of a phone
The phone I had before was the oneplus 3T, which I was thoroughly happy with. I only upgraded because I got a discount through my work. Although, I am glad I did. It's faster, smoother, the quality of the display is superb, and most functionality that you aren't happy with you can change!
You will curse that Bixby button, however. I suggest downloading a third party app that either disables the button, or enables you to change the functionality.
If you enjoy gaming on your phone, the S9 will run anything nicely. The S9 plus does have more RAM, bigger screen, and second camera, so if that's what you're interested in, then maybe shell out the few extra bucks for the larger phone.

Great classic jrpg
Top down jrpg made by Camelot and Nintendo for the Nintendo game boy, a well crafted story separated into two games. In the first you play as Isaac a venue adapt from the town of vale located at the foot of mt aleph. Game play for the first half hour to an hour depending on how you play can be seen as slow but helps set up the story of some key characters, some of which don't get payoffs until the events of the second game, a well thought out and crafted story with plenty to do including collecting all 28 elemental djiin which have the ability to change your magic in battle and on the overworld. Experience some top quality puzzles and fight some interesting monsters, accompanied by a high quality sound track made by motoi sakuraba more well known for his musical work on dark souls and the tales series of games.
This game pushes the limits of the game boy advance along with its sequel the lost age which as the way the story is paced and set up you need to play the second to get the full story

Andy K (10821 KP) rated Predator (1987) in Movies

If a ever go deaf, it will be because of Predator!
I found a used Blu Ray at a local shop for $1.99 so I decided to upgrade my existing DVD and boy was it worth it. The picture and sound quality was amazing (deafening).
Almost everything about the film holds up given this is my 20+ viewing. Has to be in the top 5 action films of all time right along side Die Hard and Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
The remote setting, characters, musical score, tension, slow burn reveal and screenplay all lend to the pristine action and compelling storytelling here.
A have to admit a few optical effects and the Predator suit do look a bit dated now, but that does not impact my review.
Such a classic!
