Quirky, humerous, but a bit ridiculous this season
First of all, my family loves watching the librarians. But this season is off to a less than captivating start. Four episodes in and each one has tried to tell us a bit more about the past of one of the main characters and in my opinion it has fallen flat. While the character info has been interesting, using it as the foundation for the episode has led to a ridiculously week storyline. I much preferred seasons past based on history or mythology where the character info was the bonus. Jenkins as usual saves the day and I will keep watching.

Quirky
Well these are not your traditional idea of toys.

Some are frankly a bit odd looking. When looking though the book I sometimes thought "That looks like someone has made a toy pattern from a kids picture." They are often quite weird looking, and yet strangely appealing.

If you like slightly odd toys... this is definitely the book for you.

The patterns themselves are clearly written, with lots of colourful pictures and full colour charts where needed.

So far I have made a black Rill Raccoon as my 10 yr old fell in love with the idea of a Ninja raccoon... and I will be making a LOT more

The Perfect Travelling Companion
This book is laugh out loud funny filled with interesting historical stories as well as up to date information with personal quirky stories thrown into the mix. A well-written travel guide mixing personal adventures with information about places, things to do and see (or not) and gives a true impression of the expanse of this enormous country!

As a traveller with a 3 week trip booked later this year, this truly was a fantastic read to offer insight into a unknown world (for me!). Who knew their political system was so complex? Or their history so diverse? Let the adventures commence !
