When Abby Knight's car is damaged by a hit and run driver, she is outraged. Her outrage only grows when she thinks there is a connection with a nearby murder. The quirky characters are lots of fun, and I can't wait to visit them again. However, the plot needed a little more ironing out to truly work.

Parks and Recreation - Season 2
Parks and Recreation - Season 2
2009 | Comedy
A much longer series of half-hour episodes following the Parks dept's daily struggles with and against the public. The pit and park development that took centre stage in the first series is just a footnote here, as each episode is more of a self-contained story. While for me it isn't laugh-out-loud funny, the quirky comedy and occasional slapstick moments is first class. Moments that feel quite ad-libbed add to the comedy.

I remember not being a big fan of season 1 but felt that season 2 is where it really found its feet. Ended up being one of my favourite shows ever by the end of it's last season

I really do enjoy a good short story, and this book certainly delivers in spades on that count. Quirky, dark, thought provoking, touching on pretty much ALL the genres. All of the stories are about possible versions of the US, some are more positive than others. This is well worth a read, but be warned: it’s bizarre and offbeat, which is a big plus where I’m concerned.

Many thanks to The Pigeonhole who serialised this book.
