It is time to return to the surface to find her people, and together they must stop the lies and prove to the world who the true monsters are: The University that has had the world in its clutches for centuries. The only problem is those who survived from the University have already convinced the world of their evil and will stop at nothing to have them destroyed. But with the peace of their world at stake, Andie and the dragonborn must band together to reunite the war-ravaged world before it's too late.Only, with a traitor in their midst, the task is proving more difficult than Andie could have ever

We continue with Andie be friends finding their escape route ending up on a ship. Dealing with traitors and finding out it hurts more when. It’s a friend! Then to finding acceptance for her race and their dragons, well at least do now! This is a good story with very different characters.

Well, I read book 1, Eversea, back when I went on holiday last month and fell in love with Jack Eversea.

In this, we see the lengths he goes to to make it right for the girl he loves, Keri Ann, and so she isn’t dragged into the backstabbing world that he’s grown weary of. And if possible I fell even harder for him.

But in the five months he’s been gone from her life, Keri Ann, has tried to move on and he’s got a job on his hands getting back in her good books. I didn’t blame Keri Anne for not taking him back instantly after what happened at the end of Eversea, but at the same time I was willing them almost desperately to get back together because they are one hell of a good couple.

Audrey annoyed the hell out of me again. I wasn’t a fan in the first and she angered me more in this one. How desperate can you be not to ruin your image to threaten a girl you’ve never really taken the time to know or talk to? She hacked me off big time at the beginning; I could have smacked her and at the end, too.

The life of a celebrity never does run smooth.

I loved Eversea but there’s something about Forever, Jack…there’s so much more emotion in it and I was sucked in whole-heartedly. I am now a die-hard fan of Natasha Boyd and look forward to reading future books.

Destined Dragons ( New York dragons book 3)
By Terry Bolryder

Roxy is just a normal girl working hard to achieve her dreams. Until she saves someone's life, gets on the news, and winds up kidnapped by a group of mysterious men targeting brave-hearted women. Just when she's about to give up hope, two gorgeous men appear, rescue her and whisk her away to their castle-like mansion to keep her safe. It's all good, until the men claim to be dragon shifters who want her for their mate.

Sterling and Gentry are the powerful leaders of the New York dragons and still looking for the perfect mate. From the moment they meet the brave, independent, and curvy Roxy, they're sure she's the one for them. Now they just have to show her all the reasons she should be the mate of two sexy, capable dragon shifters who live for nothing but to please her, while keeping her safe from the men still stalking her.

But while things quickly get hot between Roxy and her sexy shifters, evil forces are also building to mount an attack. If the dragons want to protect Roxy from the most dangerous foes they've ever faced, they may have to make choices that could lose her forever.

The last of the anew stork dragons! We see the leader pair complete their triad! It was a quick read possibly could have had more depth but Overall it was ok! The series on a whole was good getting to know the dragon higheracy.

A really enjoyable coming of age story, Snowflake by Louise Nealon is about Debbie White, and how she navigates life away from her home. When Debbie gets a place at Trinity College, Dublin, it’s decided that she’ll commute every day by train from her farm in the country. This sets her apart from the beginning: most people seem to stay in Dublin. But Debbie struggles with how to behave around other students, and if not for Xanthe, who takes Debbie under her wing, I don’t think she would have made any friends at all.

Debbie’s home life is unconventional. Her mother is obsessed with dreams, and believes that she knows what people’s dreams are - that she can see right into them. She has periods of extreme moods, and Debbie has to look after her during these episodes.

And then there’s Debbie’s Uncle Billy. He runs the farm and lives in a caravan. I rather liked his no-nonsense approach to life, but he’s just as vulnerable as his sister and niece.

It isn’t all doom and gloom though. Debbie is funny, quirky and a highly likeable person - the book had moments that really made me laugh. It was these moments of light and dark that really made the book work for me. Louise Nealon is going to be a name to watch for in the future. I loved this. You should all go and read this now!

Many thanks to Manila Press for the copy provided to me through NetGalley.

lots of communication issues between these two!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 2 in the Love Goals series, and I think it would help to read book 1, Playing for Keeps, before this one. Not strictly necessary, but more a personal recommendation .

I liked book 1, but I liked this one more!

I'm perhaps being picky, and for that I'm sorry but the book feelings are strong with this one!

So, here's the thing. I did like this more than book 1. I found the romance lacking in book one, was here, to some extent. The fact that Jonas and Adam choose to hide their relationship, made it difficult but that was their choice. The emotional connection is deeper, but Lord, is there a lot these guys didn't talk about! I get why for some things, but Adam's news?? He should not have kept that from Jonas.

I loved the new guys, not just Jonas. Tito and Noah are going to be a force to be watched, but not together. I have a feeling that Tito is putting on a front, and Noah is deeper than he lets on. Edi, too although he's not new, but he's fighting an internal battle to please his dad and his team. Not sure who is winning right now though!

I'm looking forward to Noah's story, he is next, but his significant other?? Not sure who that is yet!

creeping up to . .

Bosch Has a New Case He’s Burning to Solve
As this book opens, Harry Bosch is still working in the cold case unit of the LAPD with a year left until his second retirement. He and his new partner have caught a cold case with a fresh corpse. The victim, Orlando Merced, was hit with a stray bullet ten years before. His shooting was never solved, and he has finally died due to complications from his injury. Bosch is hoping that the bullet, which wasn’t able to be removed before now, will be the break they need to solve the crime. However, Bosch still finds himself dealing with a lack of clues or evidence. Will he get lucky and find a new lead? Meanwhile, there is a second case in this book involving a crime from twenty years before that involved Bosch’s new partner, Detective Lucia Soto. Will they be able to solve it as well?

With two storylines, there was plenty of keep the story moving forward. I enjoyed seeing Bosch’s relationship with his new partner, which wasn’t a cliché from previous entries in the series. Unfortunately, there were still plenty of recycled things I did see coming. Don’t get me wrong, I still got caught up in the story, and old fans will still want to read it. But hopefully, we can get some fresh complications moving forward. Both stories were wrapped up well, and that left me feeling satisfied when the book ended. Even with some familiar plot points, fans will still enjoy this book.

The Intended ( A Culling of Blood and Magic 2)
By K.M. Rives
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Emery may have survived the Culling, but now she’s on the run.

Forced to find her way in a world of magic behind the wards of New Orleans, Emery struggles to accept her newfound identity as a witch and a mother. Her coven is demanding that she choose between the magic she’s always wanted and the child she already loves. Will Emery find the strength to fight for what matters most?

Devastated by the loss of trust in his mate and seeking revenge, Augustine throws himself into the hunt for a murderer within his kingdom. Emery remains his primary suspect, even though there is a side of him that longs for the woman who has captured his heart.

War is brewing in the supernatural world, and a long forgotten prophecy is at play. Can Augustine and Emery overcome the secrets that have torn them apart, and reconcile their past before the future catches up with them?

This was a very emotional read for me in a few places and very close to my own heart without all the magic and vampires! I enjoyed it and it certainly was fast paced. There were a few bits that I could have just skipped but they didn’t take away from how I was enjoying the book.

Please check any trigger warnings as there is a death that is hard to handle for some.
