This.Was.AMAZING. So many "holy shit!" moments it was unreal. What a great ride. One of the best books I've read in months. And now I'm sad it's over.

So, I was 90% sure that I had already read this book but now that I have reread it I am not sure.

I read this book back in middle school right after I read "Gathering Blue" and all I remember was that it was sad and that I liked it. Now that I am 27, I figured I needed to try it out again. I'm definitely glad that I read this again. I didn't remember anything. It was like a brand new book.

First off, the characters were fascinating and I loved the depressing feeling of this book. If you're in a bad mood, this definitely isn't the book to read. I found myself angry, depressed, and frustrated throughout most of the book. The dystopian feel of the book was really good.

All in all, it was a good book.

"It came out in 1964. He said things that hadn’t been said in print [the book investigates human imagination and creativity in the arts and sciences – Literature Ed]. I don’t like to read now – I don’t read nothing’! Why not? My eyes are crummy, so I can’t read that comfortably."

Great Book
I've read this twice now and I love it. It's a great book. The main character is interesting, smart, and witty. I loved reading the science aspects of it and I found myself reading late into the night because I had to know what happened next. Quite an enjoyable read.

My all time favorite book series! I read this book for the first time as a little girl, and I revisit it often even now as an adult. So cuddle up with a bosom friend, or a kindred spirit, and read it aloud together, there's more scope for the imagination that way!

I have been wanting to read this book since it came out, and now, years later, I finally have. I was not disappointed, it was definitive, and immensely readable. This was the first book by Dan Jones that I've read, and I'm already on the wait list for his book on the Templars.

I adored this book when I was a child, now I get to read it to my daughter. She loved the pictures but at her age I think it may have been a bit wordy for her.

Read this back in 8th or 9th grade and loved it, but now found that I couldn't really remember much of anything about it, which seemed like a good time to give it a re-read. And the 2nd time around I loved it at least as much as the 1st. This beautifully written tale has easily reaffirmed its position as my favorite book.
