Suikoden, and the series that it spawned, is one of my favorites. Here, you play as the son of an imperial general who, by a matter of circumstances, becomes the head of the rebellion. Collect 108 characters in multiple sidequests--a pretty ambitious effort for the time. But what really makes Suikoden stand out from the pack of JRPGs of the 90s is its story. Suikoden doesn't flinch away at the harsh realities of war and what it can do to a country, family, and individual.

Escape from space
A fresh take on an old story.

A renegade CIA agent, the distant future and a corrupt government.

After being betrayed by his own government and sentenced to 30 years in cryogenic chamber 50 miles outside the earths atmosphere, our Agent is offered a way out...a suicide mission to the space prison and rescue the presidents daughter from a criminal rebellion that have taken control of the prison.

This to me is a 3rd part to kurt Russell's escape from series and I highly recommend it to any fans of them.

Great FX, great story, brilliant acting and some edgey twists.

Futurist series

A futurist series where only the best ones are allowed to live a better life whilst the rest live in squalor. Yes you have the obvious rebellion and with all these series they do start to run out of ideas. I did enjoy it although I had to rewatch series 1 when the rest came out to remind myself of the storyline. I know it is not meant to funny but it was made in Brazil I think so has been dubbed for the English market, listen out of the names and accents they have given the characters because they do not always work.
