Classic German Baking by Luisa Weiss is filled with 100 recipes of authentic German baking for breads and sweets! We learn what it means to bake like the Germans do and learn what techniques are different from us in America. With recipes like Apple Strudel to chocolate cakes that are to die for and even some healthy recipes as well. This book is the definition of German Baking that everyone will enjoy reading and making these recipes in their own homes!
This well-organized book is perfect of bakers from novices to pros. It the history of the each recipe before detailing in easy to follow step-by-step instructions how to bake. There's an extensive glossary of ingredients. My one recommendation is to have more pictures for a visual aspect.

Hand Made: The Modern Woman's Guide to Made-from-Scratch Living by Melissa K. Norris is a beautiful book. The book is part memoir and part cook book. The book looks at ways to make things homemade and the wisdom of the Depression era that can help make recipes simpler.
I enjoyed this book because the author shares recipes that had been handed down to her. The recipes were easy and adaptable. There were some good tips on growing herbs and suggestions for kitchen organization. The book also contains recipes for making soap and candles.
I highly recommend this book for those that enjoy making things from scratch or want to learn to do it more often. Melissa Norris includes personal stories and some scripture in some parts of the book that I enjoyed reading as well.

I was not only impressed with the ingredient choices but also all the wealth of information on making healthier cones, sprinkle toppings and how to fix shakes, ice cream etc.. to your individual taste ie: more creamy, more silky or more icey.

Having easy to read recipes and even recipes to make your own sprinkles, this book is surly to be hit. I love ice cream and reading this book that gives you more ideas to incorporated in your own homemade ice cream, is just perfect.

Food52 Mighty Salads: 60 New Ways to Turn Salad into Dinner--and Make-Ahead Lunches, Too by Editors of Food52 is a very extensive collection of recipes including a lot of earthy recipes as well as some of the classics with European and Asian based choices as well.
What I like the most about Food52 cookbooks is all the helpful hints they give you such as how to refresh wilted greens, best way to store and easiest way to peel hardboiled eggs. This book is filled with good advice as well as gorgeous recipes. It has great photos and there is an abundant amount of dressing recipes and not just your standard vinaigrettes. I really want to try the seared scallop salad with black lentils, peanut noodle salad, spring vegetable panzanella and the Caesar- style kale salad sounds interesting.

An awesome place to find everything you ever might need
I have found so many useful, creative, awesome ideas on Pinterest. I have used it to help plan my daughter's graduation party to finding new recipes for the Instant Pot. I can spend way too much time just searching through all the great ideas.
