Samantha Holtsclaw (25 KP) rated Demon Freaks in Books

This was a fun in a campy way, while still being relatable because the main characters are in high school. Some people might find it offensive though because "Jesus Christ" is exclaimed a lot. Plus, at one point the characters question whether God exists or not, since demons and monsters exist in this book.

While this book may not be the most thrilling, I thought it was a really fun read! Not everyday will like this book as much as I did..

Ghost with the moast yo boast
Really good graphic novel about growing up as an outsider in America as well as having a ghost who at first seems great but not is all as it seems. Clean cute drawings, plenty of comedy and a relatable character makes this a perfect for all ages story.

Coming of age teen comedy
Brilliant program with a but of something for everyone! Easily relatable.
From the mind of Mindy Kaling, the show takes us into the crazy yet completely relatable world of Asian-American teenager Devi Vishwakumar.
She’s had some major downs in the past year and is determined to turn it all around as she focuses on becoming cool, getting a boyfriend and just living her best life.
That’s all easier said than done, of course. And watching her attempts in the hilarious 10- episode series is an absolute hoot.
But if you need a bit more convincing then we’re more than happy to explain all the reasons why this is the best Netflix show you’re not watching right now

I received a free ARC of this book from NetGalley for an unbiased opinion.
Brantz's comics are quick and adorable, and for me completely relatable. This book is definitely getting recommended to my friends as a pick me up and giggle book. From illustrations based on daily life to dating life to social interactions, she's included it all.

Excellent Short Read
I really enjoyed reading this book. I found the word choices and usage to be somewhat simple, which left me disappointed. However, I found the character development and story line relatable and compelling. A short read, but worth it. Looking forward to sharing my experience with my book group.

A Relatable Technology-Driven Future
This story has a direction as soon as you jump in. You are with Wade against all odds trying to find the Egg before the Sixers do and inevitably ruin the game and the world. This fast-paced sci-fi adventure belongs on everyone’s to-read list.
Also see the movie, it’s pretty good.
