The protagonist of this book is Frankie, a single mom of two girls, one is fourteen and the second one is four. The book is written as a diary and covers one year of Frankie’s life, and it was an amazing book to read. The main thing why it is so good, is because it seems real and very relatable. Frankie seems like any mother, tired, annoyed, and in need of “Me” time.

This novel is AMAZING! The narrative is excellent and the timing is impeccable. The structure is unique and well-done. This story deals with the post-apocalypse in a much more internalized way so that it just feels like another occurrence. The real mastery is the character development and poignant situations which are relatable and incredible all at once. Definitely one of my favorites of the year and an indisputable must read!

Fantastic Teen Fiction
Rainbow Rowell knows how to relate to young adult readers and how to get "older" adults to reflect back and see themselves in the characters' situations. This book made me fangirl Rainbow so bad! Cath and Wren are twins trying to create their own paths as they step into adulthood. Cath struggles along that path

This was one of those rare times where I watched the movie before reading the book. Even knowing what was going to happen didn't detract from the beautifully written and well thought journey. Full of entirely relatable feelings of not belonging, young love, heartbreak, the heart wrenching battle with tragedy, and more. Mia's battle with choosing to live on or to succumb to the tragedy that is thrown upon her is a worthy one to experience. Highly recommend.

Real love story
This was a really well-written book. It's refreshing to see a WOC write about a black family in a way that is so real, authentic and relatable. It's a love story, but not in the traditional sense where there's a magical "happily ever after". It's a love story where people have to sacrifice, learn, and adapt to stay committed to the people they care about.

So this was the first self help book I've read and honestly it was amazing! It wasn't the typical wishy washy stuff i think people expect from these genres it was funny very inspiring and in some areas brutally honest! She explains many areas in such a way that it is relatable to everyone without it being to vague which i also like! Would definitely recommend this book especially if your getting into the whole self help idea.

This book just never gets old. What is essentially supposed to be a children’s story can be loved and appreciated by anyone. JK Rowling masterfully tackles the issues of friendship and prejudice in this story as a young Harry Potter arrives at Hogwarts for the very first time and has to decide who he wants to be. All of the characters are very real with good and bad traits, making them even more likeable and relatable.
