So glad it's a movie. Too bad there's no character
I'm a theater person. More specifically I'm a musical theater person. When word came that they made my favorite show into a movie I went fan girl ape s*** about it. Upon watching the movie, it fell flat. The actors didnt bring any pizazz to these dynamic characters and sang the songs without emotion. Watch it to appreciate what it could have been

The pacing was good, the use of music was so impressive. The cast were amazing and the story lines were believable and relatable (0 more)

Thrilling interesting and twisty
I really loved this series and while I sometimes flinched away at the use of sexual violence it portrayed it did so with a purpose rather then to revel in the responses.
As a single mother I could relate to the struggles of motherhood when even when you try your best you never feel good enough.

One of Disney's best!

This is a movie the whole family can enjoy. My 5 year old son loves this movie, I love this movie, my boyfriend and my mother even love it. I love the fact that Moana is such a strong, relatable character, and it's great that Maui is portrayed as having his own self esteem issues and problems. I love the message of importance of treating the Earth well. And, of course, the music is great. I can watch it over and over.

I received this copy of The Lady Lady in the Copper gate Tower from Shadow Mountain Publishing through Netgalley.

This steampunk romance was so much fun! Hazel and Sam are such great characters and I loved Hazel's deperation to have a family.
I found it very relatable.

Well, maybe not the mentally unstable twin sister
Or the uncle who might be a vampire
Or the assistant who might be a Murder.

Ok, you got me
But this one was an absolute ball to read.

This Adventure Ends started off by speaking to my little sarcastic, witty heart and introducing us to a funny, female character. It’s crazy, but yes girls can be funny. The humorous person in your novel does not have to be a guy. It is your classic high school story where a new girl moves to town and makes friends – but of course, the friends all have drama and secrets.
Sloane is also a singer and loves to read, so basically, this is starting to sound like my life. I joke, sort of, but she is a relatively normal, relatable high school girl. It really made me miss taking voice lessons even though they’re not expressly featured in the book. A lot of the events are more just telling the reader that it happened, than showing them what happened.
I’m sure most readers can relate to this line in the book:
“He looks at me for a moment and then says, ‘Maybe I’ll just watch the movie.’
‘Those are fighting words,’ I say.”
It just speaks to how relatable the author makes the book, from fanfics and fandom to high school sports and friends. This book gives you feels and might even cause a tear of joy. All of the effort that Sloane goes through, the love that Vera and Gabe have for their mother, just comes together in one poignant moment and it’s beautiful.
The friendships are authentic, from their ups and downs to the simple fun they have together. The characters are likable and relatable – and although there’s some typical, adorable teen romantic cuteness, it fits in the story and I approve.
Recommended to teen/young adult readers who enjoy cheery contemporary novels about family, friendship and high school.

Livvy's character was kind of relatable at times. (0 more)
Grammatical errors throughout. (3 more)
Hardly any background or character development.
Beginning was a bore.
Parts didn't make sense.
Not the greatest read.
The beginning was very boring and did not grab my attention at all. There were grammatical errors littered throughout the entirety of the novel and parts that didn't make any sense.

Will I reread? No. Not really my cup of tea. Do I recommend? I mean if you like stories that are a bit juvenile and feel like they were rushed, with hardly any character or background development - then sure.

cool 1st/3rd person alternating chapters, lovable MC, tension (0 more)
With this book, I felt like I gained an insight into Lewis and the human experience. There isn't just one mystery to be solved, or one lie being told. May's characters are deep and full of surprises. Fin, the MC, must return to the land that was once home, but is also a source of distress, to solve the murder of a former classmate. I'm only 22, so my youth isn't haunting me yet, but Fin is still relatable and has my heart.

2016 | Drama
There are about a million reasons why this show was the number one break out drama of the 2016-17 TV season. It's relatable on many levels for those of us in our 30's, as well as for our parents. We can see ourselves and our society in the characters we're watching on TV. It's given families a chance to reconnect, to talk about how we look back on the same time period and have such different views of what happened based on the roles we played in our own families.
