Loved this film as a child, so much so I refuse point blank to watch the remake!

You cannot take the legend of Robin Williams out of a film, remake it and expect it to be any where near what it was to us as children growing up.

As ive never seen the orignal rec wasnt sure if i would like the remake its okay movie probably not as good as rec but as a remake its kinda good jennifer cappenter plays a reporter who is filming a fire crew who is called out to a aparment building where the trouble starts as the tennants are soon infected. Plenty of gore on hand in this remake always a rewatch maybe i should watch rec next time

Remake
For a remake of one of my favorite movies it wasn't too bad. Hardy does a pretty good job in his adaptation of being Max. The story and stunts in the movie are good. The premise sticks with the original version of the Mel Gibson era movies. Not much I would change just needed better all around cast and acting to give it a better grade.

Another over the top remake hated by critics and divisive amongst fans. I loved it. Maybe a guilty pleasure of mine, but I'm proud to proclaim my love for it. As gratuitous as the Black Christmas remake was, it really doesn't compare to this super fun sch

My personal favorite thing about this film is the relatable dynamic of the two main characters’ somewhat undefined relationship, a dynamic that after fifty years still feels as modern as ever. For different reasons, I’m also a big fan of the widely panned 1983 remake starring Richard Gere, in arguably the coolest role of his career. The remake is no Godard—really it’s a different film—but I challenge anyone to forget that they’ve ever seen the original for ninety minutes, revisit the remake, and not admit its criminally overlooked qualities!"
