"Gorilla Biscuits are kind of cheesy, in a way, but at the same time they totally crystallized the archetypal hardcore sound and attitude. It's kind of hard to resist, in the end, the energy and positivity of the whole thing; I defy any real hardcore kid to not run around the room in a circle, finger-pointing, and singing along to "Big Mouth."

Few writers can resist the temptation to revamp a beloved classic. Many find the best fodder in Shakespeare. In Tyler's latest novel, she takes on the Bard's "Taming of the Shrew," with mixed results. Find out more about what I thought of this book in my review here.

I must say I really enjoy books like this, it was light, humourous and about my favourite subject: BOOOOKS!!
This is great to read between 2 heavy books as you can dip in and out and it's a quick read. I spotted this and the second book in the series going cheap online so I couldnt resist getting them, money well spent.

"A novel set in Tudor England that continues to move me on each reading—a beautifully written and emotionally complex book about Anne Boleyn that is courageous enough to resist easy explanations of the English queen’s appeal and creates a woman who could change the course of history with intelligence, style, and nerve tinged with recklessness, and driven by a dark ambition that eventually devoured her."

Erika (17788 KP) rated Legion - Season 1 in TV

First things first, Aubrey Plaza was amazing. Then you through in Dan Stevens and Jemaine Clement? I loved it. I haven't really been able to get into Marvel TV properties, aside from Agent Carter. But, I couldn't resist Legion/David Haller. The visuals were psychedelic, and I really dug the aesthetic.
I wish the season was longer, and I really want the second season to air already, after that cliffhanger.

There's no such thing as A Simple Favour (2018) #Review
From the opening strains of Jean Paul Keller’s “Ca S'est Arrange”, you can practically feel Paul Feig donning on a black turtleneck and slipping into auteurship with a mischievous sense of insouciance. He’s in playful mood indeed as he indulges his inner Hitchcock even as he can’t quite resist giving in to his quirky comedic instincts...

Abby Shaw is busy trying to get her candy shop ready for Valentine's Day. But she can't quite resist the lure of the local theater company, especially when a murder takes place on center stage and a friend becomes a suspect. I enjoyed the characters, but the plot really dragged in the middle.

"Olivier’s best film as a director and maybe as an actor. With the help of excellent source material, he gives us a masterly criminal who narrates his villainy before executing it, trusting that his will, brains, oily charm, and relentless commitment will serve him, until it no longer does. Like Rupert Pupkin, he’d rather be king for a day than a shmuck for a lifetime. Every time I watch it, I think: “This time Anne will resist him.” She never does."
