Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2084 KP) rated Caught in the Act in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Merry is taking a co-worker home when they find the co-worker's estranged husband dead on the kitchen floor. Merry can't resist digging to find out a little more. But can she solve the crime? This book is equal parts mystery and romance. The characters are so great, I cared about both. And both story lines were strong and well worth reading.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2084 KP) rated O' Artful Death in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Sweeney St. George studies gravestones, so an unique one in Vermont is too much for her to resist. It is rumored that a murder is connected to the gravestone, but when a modern murder happens, Sweeney is left wondering what the connection might be. This series has an interesting hook and great characters. The plot was fascinating as well. Good start to an interesting series.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2084 KP) rated Bless the Bride (Molly Murphy, #10) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
It's weeks before Molly and Daniel will finally wed, but Molly can't resist the lure of one more case. But her simple job of finding an heirloom becomes more when it turns out she is really hired to find a run away Chinese bride. The more she digs, the more Molly isn't sure she wants to find the girl. As always, 1903 New York is brought to great life. The characters are great, and the story kept me turning pages quickly.

The Craggus (360 KP) rated The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018) in Movies

If life is like a box of chocolates, then The Nutcracker And The Four Realms (2018) is a bumper selection pack. #Review
“The Nutcracker And The Four Realms” is chocolate box art lavishly brought to over-saturated, over-sugared, overly decorated life on the big screen. And, like the contents of that box of chocolates, there are moments of sublime deliciousness, a few over-sweet gooey confections and even the occasional nut. It’s hard to resist all the tempting treats on offer, even if gobbling them all up in one sitting does make you feel slightly queasy....

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Dinner with a Vampire (The Dark Heroine, #1) in Books

For me this was one of those books where you say you're going to read to the end of the next chapter but then cant resist reading more because it's too intriguing not to.
I loved Kaspar from early on, even though he was a pompous, stuck up his own ass Prince. He's one of those characters who grows on you, especially when he let's his guard down and shows his slightly softer side.
From how it ended i'm assuming there will be a second book and I will happily read it when it comes out.

Great
Finally! A really good supernatural thriller/ horror film. The cinematography was on par. The acting was great(the little boy was quite impressive!). The story unfolded really well with a few jump scares and an interesting take on certain ideologies. Very well written. A little predictable in a couple parts, but not enough to ruin the movie. The only thing that disappointed me was that, as always seems to be the case anymore, it left itself open for a sequel. Hollywood can't resist itself, I guess(always looking to "piggyback" on a potential hit)but other than that I highly recommend this film. REALLY worth a watch!
Kate (355 KP) rated Apparitions in TV

Discovered this on Amazon Prime and hadn't heard of it before now. There is only one season consisting of six episodes and yes I did binge watch them in one day. Martin Shaw is the main character playing a priest who carries out exorcisms. The story does run through all six episodes and it does finish at the end of episode six. Not sure how season two would be played out as the story did finish. You don't get all the special effects in today's films and TV series but it is still compelling and makes you think. Also what lady can resist Martin Shaw.

I was very leery of this film, after The Last Jedi, I don't trust anything Rian Johnson touches. But, I can't resist a locked-house-esque mystery.
The whole 'murder' is fairly straightforward, and it's 'explained' early on. Though, it's baffling to me, because in the end, the final act was indeed what it was first perceived as.
The cast was pretty good, but the political discussions could have been cut out. It would have been a stronger movie without all of that.
Was it easy to figure out? Relatively, if you follow your gut, you're right about who was the 'culprit'.
Entertaining, but I never need to see it again.

Love the amount of impact your decisions have on the game. (1 more)
Wuld Wasteland is a great perk!
Good, but glitchy
I had to start this game again because I ran into a big glitch that stopped me completing the main story.
Sadly, this was not the only glitch I encountered.
The issue was Obsidian were given a very short amount of time to make the game, considering that, it is still a great game.
While the compleationist in me is sad I was unable to do all the challenges I wanted, it was still brilliant!
Now to resist starting again and siding with the legion.
