Power Grid – great strategy board game
Power Grid is a fantastic strategy board game. While the theme may not seem very exciting, it’s a game that easily made my Top 14 Best Board Games.
It’s not a game that appeals to mom, since she prefers lighter games with elements of luck. So I won’t be asking her to play Power Grid. This game is best for when I’m in the mood to get my strategy on!

Tigris & Euphrates
Tigris & Euphrates
1997 | Abstract Strategy, Ancient, Civilization, Territory Building
The best edition of one of the best, must-own board games in the world.
Tigris & Euphrates is one of my favourite games of the last twenty years, and a true classic of the modern boardgame era. Looking at the BGG rankings again, I find it an affront that it is not in the top-20 like it once used to be. Its current edition is the best that has ever been published. This is a must-buy; that's just it.

Summoner Wars: Master Set Review
So, as many of you know by reading my original Summoner Wars Review, I really love Summoner Wars. Because of this, as soon as I heard about the Summoner Wars: Master Set, I was very eager to pick up a copy. (NOTE: The link is to Plaid Hat Games' Store, which is the only place I currently know of where you can get a copy of the Master Set.)

Do you hate your mother-in-law? You'll LOVE her after this.
Though this book didn't really feel like a "psychological thriller," but rather more of a drama, I definitely enjoyed it. There were several points at which I actually said out loud "oh, come on!" - so I'm going to agree with another reviewer in that it might be better if you suspend disbelief a bit before going into this.

I did NOT see that twist coming! It was worth it for that alone, in my opinion.

Thank you, Minotaur Books, for the ARE!
