Ok folks. It’s been a while. I am trying to abandon my more depressing social media sites. The only thing that brings me any level of comfort lately is entertainment. I was hoping to get back into live performing, but...ahem. Not anytime soon. I might bring myself to sing on YouTube. But I’ll start by writing reviews again. Hope you are all staying healthy and safe.

"The tale behind this book is as riveting as the book itself. The first-time novelist can't get a publisher, so he crowdfunds this book. The story is set 1000 years ago and written in a slightly made-up version of old English. Of course nobody will buy it. Except that they do. It gets rave reviews and awards. When you read it, you'll understand why."

Managed to get a couple of reviews in for my 2020 reads, many more to go... Will try to catch up. On my 85th book of the year ( The Possession - Michael Rutger). I have a week of peace from Friday, where I hope to get another five books read... the peace of the seaside, a lodge, a glass of wine or two and a hot tub...

After hearing such mixed reviews, I went in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. I thought this reboot really did the original justice, bringing a self-awareness to the conceit that the franchise has always had.
Mark Hamill was great, Aubrey Plaza makes a pretty convincing mom, and Chucky's got jokes. What more did you really want?
