Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)
2017 | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Great Sfx (2 more)
Huge action scenes
Good links to the other films
Felt a little long, similar blueprint to the other films (0 more)
Capt Jack has his swagger back
Don't believe the critics reviews! Can't believe this scored 32% on Rotten Tomatoes. The franchise is back on track after the below par previous installment. The Sfx are very good and the overall feel of the film is more like the first three films. It ties in nicely with elements to the first three films as well. Faded a bit towards the end, but this series isn't dead in the water.

I believe this may have been the last one. For the foreseeable future anyways. There was an interview live from Disneyland Paris with the cast at the special screening I went to and they were saying that they were happy to get just one more film in to round of the franchise. Who knows, they may make another eventually after the success of this film (I believe it's a success anyway) but for now we're all gonna have to wait, possibly with no result, but maybe, just maybe, the fans can help them squeeze out another film at least 1.

Well hmmm. I started reading this book not quite sure what to expect. Like a few of the reviews I've seen, I too thought it started off a tad slow & a bit off. But somewhere in the middle I got hooked. Not quite sure when or where or even why, but at some point it got very interesting. It was hard to follow & suddenly it made sense. Weird, I know. But apparently that's just Neil Gaiman being Neil Gaiman. The ending tied everything together well. I think I may even give another of his books a try!

When I read this book, I was deep in the throes of my WWII obsession. I was reading every book I could find, fiction and non-fiction that had to do witht the subject.
This book is narrarated by Death and I found that rather unique and something that I was not expecting.
I typically do not leave reviews that contain spoilers, and I cannot properly review this book without them, so I will leave on this note: prepare yourself for a marvelously written heart-breaking tale that will leave you contemplating your life alongside an empty box of tissues.

I tried to like City of Bones more after reading many great reviews. It wasn't terrible, I just had a hard time getting into the story line. I felt like Clary only being 15 was my main issue. Decisions she made and the situations she was in were hard for me to place a 15 year old in. I did like the idea of the plot and another world that not all can see. The twist at the end was definitely not something I saw coming and will keep me reading through the rest of the series.
