Goodreads allows for socializing specifically for us bibliophiles, tells you what your friends are reading and allows access to scores of books and reviews posted about them. (0 more)
Sometimes is a pain in the a** when adding books read in their normal none tech form. (0 more)
Goodreads. Because how else will I know what I’ve read?!?
Secret romance novel readers beware.. no just kidding, or am I? Goodreads is where you go to access scores of novels and reviews for them. You are able to socialize with fellow book readers and follow what your friends are currently reading or have read. ( hence the secrete romance readers beware) I even had an author dm me for giving a review of a novel they had written and let me tell you I was ecstatic for many days.
*Focus

You can challenge yourself each year to read more books than the last while they keep track for you as long as it is read in a device linked with the account.
The only thing I find frustrating is sometimes you have to go through a million steps (exaggeration) just to add a book read in it natural papery scented goodness.
Overall the app is good, a great place to start if you’re seeking an idea of how great or sucky a book is, depending on the personal taste of course.

short, entertaining book is that more appropriate for adults than children
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

Lies We Tell Our Kids by Brett Wagner is a short, entertaining book is that more appropriate for adults than children. This book is an example of some of the lies parents tell their children, mostly to keep them in line and behave well. It is funny as a "look back" to the lies we were told as children and, in return, told younger children. I remember my grandmother telling me that thunder was caused by angels bowling. That lightning occurs when angels take a picture was new to me.

This book is less than 100 pages and each page states a "lie" that is one sentence so it is a very fast read. For every lie, there is a corresponding, colorful illustration which are imaginative and allow for eye rolling and shaking of my head. I have heard of a few of the lies mentioned but most of them were new to me and gave me a good chuckle.

I read reviews of this which were posted on Goodreads. Many reviews rated it low. I think they should have taken into consideration that this book is not intended to be taken seriously. Just enjoy its quirkiness and have fun!

Here are my 'Top 16 Movies Of All Time' and a quick update of what's been going on for me over the past few weeks/why I haven't been posting many reviews recently. -------------------------------------------
Hello fellow film fans 📽 I hope you had a great Christmas and a nice New Year.

Christmas and New Year have both been absolutely mental for me this year which makes a change.
Not only have I been working a hell of a lot more than usual but I have also been spending a lot of time with my amazing girlfriend and her family, seeing my own family and friends, catching up on sleep, going to the gym and also plowing through the piles of films/games I have at home.
It seems every time I have booked to see a film at Odeon I have simply fallen asleep from pure exhaustion or been called into work which is really annoying as I really have missed going so much.
------------------------------------------
That being said this weekend I have 'Jo Jo Rabbit' and 'The Gentleman' booked so providing I have the energy you can expect reviews from both of those very soon and hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and back to doing what I enjoy.
Again thank you for all the continued support and love everyone and here's to many more cinematic adventures in 2020.
