"This funny, clever re-imagining of Jane Austen’s Emma set in the elite circles of Delhi provides a crash course into the mores and manners of Crazy Rich Indians"

"a blast of Anglo-Saxon common sense after the maunderings of French gloomadon popper Thomas Piketty. Who cares if the rich get richer, provided we all get richer too!"

"Castaing's style is original, cool and sophisticated. She was one of a kind. The book is rich with ideas for home decoration, color stories and a regal, bohemian sensibility."

"It’s something [the author] did so well, to describe a scene so gorgeously interwoven with rich emotional revelations, that you yourself have escaped from your own life for a moment."

Excellent Story
I read this book when I was a child, then later on as an adult. The story is rich in details about the time period. When my kids were growing up, it became tradition to read it through the month of December.
To me the story teaches that it's never too late to have a change in heart, to learn to appreciate those around us.

Fabulously rich tale about success and loss
This was an unexpected treasure I came across. The language is rich and the story is heartfelt over whether success is truly a positive. The characters of Odelle, Olive and Theresa are wonderfully full and vibrant, and the end tales of the latter are both shocking and moving. One of the most immersive books I've read this year, and Cathy Tyson does a great job in bringing the characters to life.

Black created a wondrously fascinating world, here. It's a fast-paced story, rich in description. But I felt emotionally detached from the characters; the romance, friendships, and betrayals all fell flat on me.

"I like See You At The Top by Zig Zigler. And Think and Grow Rich, that's like the grandaddy of them all. Both the books are corny but have great information in them."

"Sturges takes a whole assortment of disagreeable elements—cliché rich people, cliché cardsharps, snakes, and slapstick—and makes one of the greatest romantic and funny comedies. The cast one must adore—never better."
