2008 re-make/re-imagining of the 1951 original, with Keanu Reeves - who I felt would be perfect for this role - playing the alien Kla'atu.

Unfortunately, the majority of the film is slow and plodding, with no real connection between Reeves and Jennifer Connelly, with a (very young) Jaden Smith playing a kid who just deserves a good slapping, and with the anti-war stance of the original replaced with an environmental message instead (that's neither good nor bad, just an observation).

One that I may watch on TV if nothing else on, but not one I would be going out of my way to look for or even make time to sit down and view.

My first Dragon love
These are as traditional as epic fantasy gets. If you want to see every trope fantasy has to offer, this is the series for you. This is the very beginning of a world that includes generations of characters, side books to explore the origins of favorite characters and races, role playing games, podcasts, a rich history of world building, gods and magic, dragons and orcs, Dwarfs and elves and other things.

One of Bronson's better cop flicks
Every time I see Charles Bronson playing a policeman, I always think maybe this was a role Clint Eastwood turned down as their styles and film choices in the 1970s were very similar.

This was a good one, though, as it was action packed and had some great car chase scenes. Everything you look for in a mob, action cop film is here and will not disappoint.

Already aged 32, Douglas turned down several supporting roles in “bigger” films for MGM in order to take a risk on a lead role that might get him some attention, by showcasing his physicality and skill at playing characters of ambiguous morality. His choice was vindicated, as the role of boxer Midge Kelly, a man who will stop at nothing to reach the top, earned him the first of 3 Oscar nominations and put him firmly on the map. Looking back on it now, everything about it seems dated, except Douglas, whose style, whilst still showing evidence of his theatrical roots, shone head and shoulders above the rest of the cast. Apparently a big influence on Scorsese and DeNiro for the boxing scenes in Raging Bull.

Not bad
The acting, cinematography, story were all well done. Some background on Elise and her history but with parts that tie the series together(they all have that). This indee seemed a little more predictable but still very entertaining. I'm wondering if they're going to continue the series with her niece playing a main role. Anyway, if you like the other insidious movies you'll enjoy this one. This and "The Conjuring" series a.r.e two of thre betterf horror series out today. Worth a watch!

Intense thriller!
Good quality film.

This main character in this movie couldn't have been any better, brilliant actress playing the role of an innocent women being tormented by her obsessive ex.

A good few jumpy parts, the amount of times I said something so loud forgetting I was in the cinema was just embarrassing, so many scenes I didn't expect to happen the way they did, some of my friends weren't overly impressed but I thought every character really built the feel for this film.

Highly recommended.

Star Trek Adventures
Star Trek Adventures
The latest in a very long line of Star Trek role-playing games is also one of the best. You too can don the velour jumpsuit of a Starfleet officer, explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilisations, etc. Not a good choice if you are looking for a generic science fiction roleplaying experience, as the game is specifically designed to replicate the feel and philosophy of classic Star Trek - phasering the opposition into submission is unlikely to work, using your brains and working together should produce better results.

The basic system is sound and relatively straightforward, with players and GMs having a number of ways to influence the action. However, some of the more complex mechanics and systems do take a little bit of effort to get your head around (it's generally worth it though), and I wouldn't want to embark upon even a simple ship-to-ship combat engagement without everyone involved having some kind of cheat sheet to hand. I'm not sure how many people will be looking for a 'classic' Star Trek role-playing experience, but for those who are, this is a very good bet.

Good remake of a classic
An enjoyable, if a little slow at times, star heavy adaptation of the Agatha Christie story - set on the Orient Express.

As good to watch as the original version with the cast making the most of limited screen time each, we may know the outcome of the story, but, even knowing that, the film doesn't disappoint, and Kenneth Branagh with his bizarre moustache fitting in well as Poirot, a role, I'm sure most people wouldn't have been able to see him playing.

Dungeons & Dragons: Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game
2015 | Adventure, Exploration, Fantasy, Miniatures
Good play mechanics and a ton of miniatures
This game plays as a distilled version of D&D and really does keep everything you love while losing some of the role playing and complexity. Hey, sometimes you just need a good dungeon crawl and this certainly won't disappoint those looking for just (and I mean Just) that. There's a little bit of character leveling but overall its a randomized dungeon with random monsters and treasure. Lots of pretty good miniatures to use during regular D&D doesn't hurt.

Just watched I couldn't stop laughing especially if it's got Sandra bullock in it as I was a massive fan of Sandra in the 90s with the speed movies and while u were sleeping this movie took me back to those movies but I was surprised by Daniel Radcliffe playing the villain and haming it up with style showing there's more to him than just Harry Potter and then there's Brad Pitt in a small role which also made me laugh anyway good afternoon movie
