I really liked this YA Contemporary Romance. It was sort of run-of-the-mill but I really liked it.

Ryan Hunter obviously had feelings for Lisa and used the opportunity presented to him to get to know her better by training her for the--what I know as football, but what American's know as soccer--team.

Of course it didn't all go to plan, as is the case with most romances. There is always something that goes wrong or a misunderstanding.

The style was really easy for me to get into and I read the full 200-odd pages within a few hours. It was right up my street and I can't wait to read Ryan Hunter, book 2 in the series and all from Ryan's POV.

I was really unimpressed by this story. I've read several of the authors Love & Decay series and loved those but this?

I like the idea behind it but it took forever for us to know what she was despite the series title and it just didnt work for me.

A lot of things are repeated: She hates her "curse" as she calls it. She wants her inheritance so she can run away and disappear forever. She will never be like the others in her group. ETC.

The above things were rehashed so many times that i started getting bored, which is probably why it took me 4 days to read this. Even her kinda-romance with Ryder couldn't make me like this.

I won't be continuing the series

Well I might like my short stories but I should be wary if freebies--many of them or good, but some I just don't like/can't get into--and that was the case with this one.

It didn't hold enough romance for me. I get lust and that seemed what this was but the fact that they'd known each other three days and had sex all of those three days and suddenly wanted to be together...it just didn't ring true to me. Added in that erotica isn't my favourite genre and the spelling of "come" as "cum" pees me off, I wasn't exactly enjoying it that much.

The crime side of the story didn't hold my attention either, and I felt the ending was rather sudden.

Not for me.

Hmmm...I read this because after finishing Cut & Run yesterday I was still in the mood for a little m/m romance. Unfortunately this didn't hook me as much and I was a little bored by the story line, that's not to say it was bad, because it isn't. It just didn't hold my attention as much as a thriller.

I've even had a nosy at the rest of the series and after reading the acknowledgements section after the story, I have to admire the author for her...balls? in writing a series that spans twenty years and involves the development of Eric and Nick's life's while involving a wife for one of them.

I'm not entirely sure if I'll continue it yet, but I'll certainly keep it in mind for the future.

Director Ari Aster returns with another homage to the classic horror movie Wicker Man. Every 90 years, a secluded Swedish town holds a festival to honor the old gods. It is expected that anyone raised in the town will ensnare gullible undergrads to serve as guests of honor of the festivities. While this serves as the plot of the surface story, the true horror is the toxic romance of a dying relationship. The woman is an emotional burden who is starting to see the cracks in the relationship. The guy is hanging out with his guy friends too much, he has no future goals and emotionally immature, and is about to forget her birthday. When she suffers a major tragedy, leaving her completely alone even if she has that boyfriend, she tags along to Sweden.

Survivor This Island
Six Days, Seven Nights- is a decent adventure, romance, drama with some action in it.

The plot: In the South Pacific island of Makatea, career-driven magazine editor Robin Monroe (Anne Heche) is on a week-long vacation getaway with her boyfriend, Frank Martin (David Schwimmer). A work assignment in neighboring Tahiti requires Robin to hire a cargo plane piloted by the cantankerous Quinn Harris (Harrison Ford). But when a powerful storm forces Quinn to make an emergency landing on a nearby deserted island, the dissimilar pair learn to set aside their differences in order to find rescue.

Its downfall is david schwimmer he is not a good actor and personality i dont like him as a actor. Other than that, its a decent movie.

I didn't hate this film as much as I hated the first two but I am crediting that to Philip Seymour Hoffman. That man is as talented as they come and left this earth far too soon. I think this is the best of the first three. I love that they brought back Luther. I loved what he added to the second one and I hope he stays consistent in the next few films. My favorite character was Benji - I thought he was super funny and great to watch. I also liked the added layer of a love interest for Ethan. The first two films are what they are when it comes to romance, but this one felt authentic and enjoyable.

Not the worst, but not the best film ever. On to the next!

Oh, my heart!

Book three in the Heartwood series managed to smack me right in the feels!
Each character had their own reasons for their actions and was strong enough to own that. As with all good romance though things don't run smoothly into wedded bliss. Secrets that can't be hidden any longer, disappointment and hurt that needs addressing and trust needs to been earned.
This is a brilliant edition to the Heartwood series and I love the whole family aspect that is always present. The depth of love and loyalty that spills out and encompasses, not only the brothers, but their chose partner is always heart-fluttering to witness.

As always, this is an adult read that deserves chocolate and a cheeky drink while snuggled up on the sofa!
