This is good yet sad book. I think everyone should read it at least once in their life. I had to read it in 5th grade and saw the movie immediately after and it still makes me cry to think about it.

This is the book that concerned parent, grandparent or even healthcare professions should have available to them.
This book raises the topic of when children blame themselves for the problems of the parent. This story sees a little panda upset and thinking he is a bad boy to make his mummy so sad, but grandma carefully explains and supports him to understand that sometimes mummies need time to heal and simply be.
A book that both me and my 4-year-old daughter have enjoyed and has raised the difficult conversation with her over why mummy is sometimes sad. Thank you.

Tissues! I need more tissues!

Jeez! I really need to install a box (or three) of tissues on my night stand, or maybe just a bucket for me to cry into. I was just getting over one sad bit when I'd start all over again. And it was those unpretty, snotty tears too.

Ike, George, like Charlotte I have fallen for both of you too. And now, even after finishing the story I want to sob all over again. It's so sad...sniffle

After enjoying this so much, despite all the crying, I really wouldn't mind reading more books by the author.
