Idiots
First cinema visit of 2023 this one will have u grabbing a hankie it gets sad tearful the usual great performance from Tom and the cast as well I didn’t realise before I went into the movie that it would deal with mental heath and sucide as a subject matter especially with Tom hanks in the lead role but the movie handles both carefully. Overall good start to the year

Actually quite sad reading it post-death
This is almost a bittersweet memoir about the great Carrie Fisher who battled mental health issues, substance abuse, and being brought up in a slightly dysfunctional family. It is witty, snarky and sarcastic despite all the upheavals. It begins with her experience with electroshock therapy and her subsequent loss of memories. The book is also short and filled with interesting images from her life, so it's a treat to read.

fantastic read
OMG what a fantastic book, I love this series, each book was as gripping as the last. Very sad to see this series end but it ended in a fantastic way. This book is full of suspense and intrigue as well as continuing the amazing love story of the characters. I can't wait to read more from this amazing author in the future.

Sad Ben.
Just finished. An ok action movie if you like the sort. 5 ex members of the special forces willing to take down a Narcos boss and Rob his money. I didn't have high expectations for this movie so I enjoyed it enough. The story is weak but does what it needs to do. The cast is all right.

Fantastic Special Effects
When I See An Elephant Fly
Going into the theatres to watch Dumbo, I wasnt sure if I was going to like it or not. Growing up, and being a huge fan of the original I had high hopes. I wasn't disappointed. The special effects were stunning and the casting choices were great. It was more sad than the original film, so be prepared for bringing tissues.

This was wonderful.. i was surprised at how this all went down to be honest.. i felt so many sad times with them.. and at the same time so many happy times.. these two together were wonderful.. and at the same time horrible.. lol.. in the end they finally became who they both needed to be as people apart and together. it was very well written and i enjoyed it and im glad i got to review it

Cyn Armistead (14 KP) rated Restless In The Grave (Kate Shugak, #19 / Liam Campbell, #5) in Books

Kate Shugak and Liam Campbell, in one book! Kate and Mutt, outside the Park! This is a fun addition to both series, well worth reading. I don't think it would work as well for someone new to either one, because references to former characters would go over their heads. For a fan of both series, like me, it's a delightful treat. There is a very sad bit near the end, but I can't say more without getting into spoilers.

Ross (3284 KP) rated The Affair - Season 4 in TV
Aug 24, 2018
Back to form here in the 4th series as the families attempt a fresh start, but the personalities involved, and their failings, move with them and similar things happen. Some real heart-wrenching moments as the cast deal with loss, tragedy and upset in more extreme ways than before.
A real sad final few episodes but excellently delivered. One major issue left open at the end, if there is no 5th series to address it I may well riot.

Another book that I devoured while down on my knees. My sister Joy loaned me this book to read while on bed rest. A sad story of sisters and parents that weren't all there. Though Francec was not the upmost behaved child, her heart concerning her niece/sister Lilly was there, even with the dark family secrets, that no little girl should possess. A great read, if you want drama in your life, that isn't your own...
