"The step-by-step horrific setup of the film is just great filmmaking. The movie starts, and you’re on a movie set, and this actress is bringing her daughter along with her to Boston, because she has broken up with her husband. So while she’s busy working, [actress] Linda Blair is at home, doing whatever, except the home is haunted, and eventually the evil spirit, a demon takes over her, and her mom doesn’t believe in it. Sure, you get the punch in the gut and the kick in the nuts when her head spins around and she spits out pea soup and everybody just flips out, but leading up to that is a very well-written script. It’s easy to do the action sequences. You sit down, and say, ‘OK, we’re gonna have a head pop off here, and then I’m gonna have a ghost dive off somebody’s ass, and use them like a hand puppet.’ OK, I get it. Those are all gonna be good hand-puppet scary moves, but what’s the script? You have to care about the characters, and stuff. That’s what we mean by elevated.”

Cutesy but boring
Critic review by Tom Huddleston - Timeout

‘The Boss Baby’ is one of those snarky, post ‘Shrek’ cartoons that desperately wants to appeal to parents as well as kids, but its snappy, pop-culture-referencing script feels workshopped to death (there’s a running joke about Gandalf that’s bafflingly unfunny). Undemanding kids might get a kick out of its jazzy, restless visual style and poo jokes, but grown-ups may well find themselves taking some impromptu nap time.

A Return To Form
This movie is a lot better than the trailers show it to be, MacAvoy’s performance is gripping, electric and believably diverse. This is Shamylan’s return to form and is up there in terms of quality with Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense. The script isn’t amazing, but the actors do well with the material that they have and the production is on point. Good sound mixing, cinematography and direction. Gets a bit silly in places but is justified by the film’s end.

Good, but the best bits are in the trailer
This is a fairly solid film for Tom Cruise, with a great script and a very interesting and fun way to tell this intriguing (and almost unbelievable) story. I feel Domnhall Gleeson is a little underused, and my main issue with this is that all of the funniest parts were in the trailer. I know this is standard for lots of films, but with American Made it felt like ALL of the humour was in the trailer, which kind of ruins that aspect of the film.

Favorite Show!
This is by far my favorite show. I have been hooked since Episode 1, Season 1! The drama, the romance, the suspense, this show has it all! And season after season, the writers bring something new to the show whether its a new character or a story line that keeps us hooked and wanting more! People may say this show has run its course but I for one cant wait to see what else this show has in store for us!
