Book Rating

This was so good, I couldn't stop reading because I had to know what happened. The secret was so unexpected, so much different than I thought, which is why I didn't see it coming. But after finding out the secret, the whole dynamic of the book changed and if possible, got even better.

I loved the characters and how their lives all intersected with each other. Secrets can make or break a person and it's amazing how one simple act can change the course of so many lives. Liane Moriarty is a great writer, her words just flow so effortlessly. I could read her books all day!

The story line of Artemis Fowl is something I've never read before and has such imagination and whimsy sure to peak any middle age boy or girl (or 28 year old adult's) interest. Artemis is an intelligent 12 year old boy from a long line of Fowl's and wealth. He along with his bodyguard go on a journey to find out more the secret world of fairy's. This secret magic land of fairies, trolls and other mysterious creatures is different than any I've ever read. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I can only see it getting even better from here!

The Secret Life Of Pets 2 (2019) is like three Saturday morning cartoons mashed into one.

Picture the scene: Illumination writing room, circa 2017.

Plans are well underway for the TV spinoff of “The Secret Life Of Pets” and the team have broken down around a dozen shorts to fill up the schedules when suddenly the word comes down that the studio have decided they want a theatrical sequel instead. Writer 1: Okay, shall we start from scratch?

Writer 2: *shrugs* Nah, it’s nearly lunch, let’s just jam the ideas together until we hit the magic 90-minute mark.

Writer 1: Done. Let’s get lunch.
