Movie Metropolis (309 KP) rated X-Men: First Class (2011) in Movies
Jun 10, 2019
After Kingsman: The Secret Service director Matthew Vaughn left X-Men: The Last Stand because of its rushed production schedule, Fox decided to bring him back to direct this reboot of the series. Things worked well overall, though the introduction of James McAvoy as Professor X did draw some criticism. Michael Fassbender’s role as young Magneto went down very well but fans still missed the original actors. The film was nicely paced but without a compelling villain, the overall script suffered.

Josie Prescott is upset when her friend Rosaline is murdered. Was she murdered because of her tangled love life? Or was it because of the secret treasure she told her teenage sister about? Josie is stronger emotionally then she's been in previous entries in the series, and the story moves along quite well. I wish I could have read it faster because I was enjoying it.

Meet Trixie, Honey, and Jim as the trio form a friendship and hunt for the treasure that is supposed to be in Jim's great uncle's old house.
This is a very favorite series from childhood on, and I just love meeting the characters again for the first time. They aren't quite themselves yet, and can be annoying as a result. Just know they grow stronger from their friendships by the next in the series.

Hannah has some trouble accepting her past. Devlin also is struggle with his past. He also has to deal with his wife. Hannah as a secret she must tell Devin about. Hannah comes to help when Devin wife becomes ill after giving birth to their daughter.
This book is somewhat a tear emotions for just about what going to happen. Devlin still need to come to terms with his guilt and he need to step up when he told something. For there several surprises in this book I do not want to give them away.

Psychic+ghosts
I saw this one on Amazon. It was pretty creepy once it got past the slow start. The storyline itself was pretty interesting. It was ultimately about secret governmental testing on people in the past. The characters were ok. Not a lot of depth to them but the acting is mediocre. The effects and camera tricks could've been a little better but they conveyed everything well enough. Overall I'd recommend it if you're into creepy ghost stories. Worth a watch.

I saw this as part of a secret film festival so didn’t know much about it going in, I think I would have liked it just a bit more if I had known it was a true story at the beginning rather then at the end, I would have understood the point more. That said it was really well done and kept me fully engaged, and at the edge of my seat, for the entire movie. It was also really brutal start to finish so don’t think I’ll ever need a repeat viewing.

The Grudge's Ring II
The Grudge 2- is a decent sequel, if you like the first one, than you will like this one. This one is scary, horrorfying and spooky. Not to mention creepy.
The Plot: A young woman (Amber Tamblyn) encounters a terrible curse while searching for her missing sister (Sarah Michelle Gellar) in Tokyo. The evil imprecation fills its victims with murderous rage, but it also brings together the diverse group to unlock its secret and save their lives.
Overall it is a good movie and a decent sequel.

How you can choose the scenario yourself by your TV remote (1 more)
It's weird that you arnt quite sure what's going on all the time
Quite odd, but entertaining
Contains spoilers, click to show
It's quite a strangely entertaining film, it took me over half the film to figure out I could make the choices for the main character so that was really interesting when you can choose differently. There is supposed to be a secret ending but I havnt found it yet

I don't get what all the fuss is about? I tried so hard to force myself to read this and I got about halfway and I found myself avoiding reading all together just because I couldn't face the boredom of it? I skipped to the end and read the last chapter and was so glad that I didn't torture myself any further by reading the whole thing.
I realise that I seem to be the minority of this opinion, maybe there is a secret chapter to the book that mine didn't contain??? Who knows.

Love Social Deduction? Then Love Secret Hitler!
This is one of the best social deduction (if not THE best) games I've ever played: and I've played a lot of them. I highly recommend getting a group of friends together to play this: you will not regret yelling at each other for an hour about who's Hitler and who's not. So fun!
