Maggie Hope gets her first assignment for British secret service - go to Windsor Castle and act as Princess Elizabeth's tutor all while looking for any evidence that there is a plot on her life. Maggie has hardly arrived when someone is murdered. Was the princess the target? Once again, this was a fun World War II spy novel, and I enjoyed spending time with Maggie. However, some editing glitches and a very familiar sub-plot did bother me some.

This is one of my absolute favorite social deduction board games. Each person has a secret identity that you can choose to share (or not) with other players in the game. You need to be good at both bluffing and social deduction to win.

This game is best with 11-20 players. You can play with any number, but it starts getting a little unwieldly once you get up to 25-30.

It is not hard to teach this game- I play it in class with my college students and it doesn't take too long before they catch on.

Day has won critical acclaim for her three previous novels and this latest offering is an astute thriller that will appeal to a wide audience. The story revolves around old friendships, social climbing and a secret that could change everything, all over the course of an evening. Day has skilfully recreated the societal norms of the twenty-first century with her profound characters, astute observations and wit, adding levity to the myriad of insecurities that plague our modern world. You do have to wait to find out exactly what happened, but Day's foray into loyalty, anxiety and friendship makes it a thrilling read.

Split (2017) is, ironically, a slyly connective work from M Night Shyamalan #Review

Powered by a terrific set of performances from James McAvoy, the film manages to explore the fascinating dramatic potential of dissociative identity disorder without feeling sensational or exploitative. This was reshown on BBC in the 90s and it caused a bit of stir off the back of Thunderbirds and all things marionettes. The story of a normal 9 year old to some but a super duper secret agent to others. His father was an inventor who created the technology to give Joe his super brain powers. Not sure why you would experiment on your kid but it was the 60s after all. There were James Bond elements and Cold War based plots. It would have been ground breaking at the time and hasn't aged too badly in the present day.

I absolutely love this film! It's the 70s and Om is an extra in movies. He is besotted by a big star actress Shanti. He discovers some secrets and watches as he secret husband plots and executes his plan to be rid of his career ending problem. Years later Om finds himself seeking revenge for Shanti. The music in this film is catchy and really makes it. If you have never watched a Bollywood before, this is one I definitely recommend to start with. I love the bright colours and as always love the twists and turns to ensure a happy ending.
