Keri Arthur at her best!! I don’t know how this one slipped by me. The characters and world building were what we have come to expect from her and the story kept you interested from beginning to end. I do like Neve she certainly kicks ass just like all Keri’s female characters. Highly recommended especially for fans of Keri Arthur!

The premise of this story is global warming has flooded a large part of the world and the amount of potable water is limited. Noria is a tea master, one of the last. She was trained by her father and it is rare for a female to be a tea master. She is keeping a secret though one that could be deadly for herself and those who know her.
I really wanted to like this book. The ideas and plot are fantastic but the story drags. So much more could have been done with this to make it work better. It is well written just the pacing needs work.

What a wonderfully descriptive book! The story is beautifully written around one day in the life of Isabelle. Her day is told in a series of snapshots that simply describe her ordinary day at work which turns out to be extraordinary in the end. She finally works up the nerve to ask a coworker out only to overhear a secret he had carefully kept from his coworkers and devastates Belly. The plot also includes several flashbacks to their childhoods that explain how they got to where they are and what made them who they at at that particular moment. Very simply written and easy to read...a nice distraction.

Yet another tedious Animation
They really seem to be churning out tedious unfunny animations lately and I'm afraid Pets is no different. Apart from the opening scene (which was in the trailer) and a couple of odd background moments usually showing the quirky nature of pets (e.g. cat & the laser), this was awful. It's was trying so hard to be a carbon copy of a Disney film, but nowhere near as good, and the voice actors didn't really fit either. They would've been better off leaving the story and just doing a whole film similar to the opening scene showing the quirky and secret habits of pets.

Story revolves around Ellen -- recently married, her life turns somewhat upside down when her old flame, Leo (he of an "intense" past love) returns to her life. Keeping Leo a secret from her husband Andy (he of a "pleasant, stable" love), Ellen finds herself torn between the two and questioning the state of her marriage. Adding to her troubles is the fact that Ellen's best friend, Margot, is Andy's sister (and was not one bit fond of Leo).
Many books have been written on the "old boyfriend returns" subject and while Giffin's is nothing outstanding, she handles the topic convincingly, giving Ellen surprising depth. A quick and rather enjoyable read.

Picking up moments after the last book ended, we learn who kidnapped conman Nick Fox and why. Can FBI agent Kate O’Hare track him down? Will this reveal their secret partnership? And what scheme can they stop next?
Yes, I’m being especially vague on the plot, but most of the fun of this book is seeing how things unfold as the book progresses. The story moves quickly and keep the pages turning. As always, the characters could be a tad sharper, but some of the supporting characters are a hoot.

Izzy Spellman is enjoying her time off from the family PI business. But then she gets a client who thinks his wife is cheating on him. That's not the case, but the wife does have some secret. Meanwhile, little sister Rae is accused to cheating on her PSAT's and Izzy moves into her brother's basement. Yep, it's more wacky fun with my favorite dysfunctional family. I did feel things were feeling a little too familiar at this point, but it was still lots of fun.
