"I adore Robert Altman, and in some ways this feels like the least-Altman Altman, but it’s like no other movie I’ve ever seen. Putatively the story of two women who became roommates in a resort town, it’s about so much more: female identity and the slipperiness of the self. I first saw it, cut up by commercials, when I was ten or eleven, and I felt like it was whispering secrets about the nature of womanhood into my ear and I’d better listen close. I still think that."

I was very intrigued by this story, by the mystery and secrets. About 30% of the way through, I had my suspect and never truly wavered - I'm more than happy to say that I was wrong! The true killer was an absolute surprise, even if I felt like the story kind of dragged on a bit unnecessarily, unrelated theories and suspicions being stretched out for too long. Unfortunately, it didn't feel "edge of your seat", "nail biting" exciting, but it was certainly myst enough to keep me interested.

The plot thickens! Many times in this book I have screamed words such as NO! WHAT! YOU *add whichever naughty word you would like to here* So this is the follow up to divergent,sides are chosen,people who you wouldn't think would do such things do,secrets are spilt and Tris is on a journey of guilt and grief all rolled up in one. I absolutely loved this book,it kept me hooked till the very end and now I cannot wait to read the last one,although I don't think I'm mentally prepared!

Plot twist

Excellent detective

The death of a woman in a bath tub starts the story off and it unravels from then. The secrets really dont stay buried.

Kim Stone is a phenomenal detective, very believable and this first case really hits home. The plot is dark and twisted, it has you on tenter hooks wondering who done it throughout. The list of suspects is long but the writing enables you to follow along well.

Really didnt see the twist at the end after all the drama.
