Honestly, I barely remember any of the Predator movies, so I had little to no expectations going into the film. It was alright. The film had a great start, but then it devolved into silliness. And, prepare people, they set it up for a sequel, of course.
One thing that bothered me was Olivia Munn's character. She was a biologist, but somehow, she was holding the guns like she held them before. Was she supposed to be ex-military? Does she play a lot of Halo? I was completely confused.

Wow! One of the best books I've ever had the pleasure of reading! Totally original plot, superbly written, with amazing world building and well developed characters. It sucked me in from page one and never let go, I flew thru the story and was left wanting when the end came (far too quickly, mind you, as this is one I never wanted to end) and what an ending it was! I absolutely can't wait for the sequel! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review this title!!

A not too bad direct to DVD sequel. You don't need to have seen the first as it doesn't carry on any of that storyline, apart from the department store. As with most straight to DVD horror sequels you can expect more blood, gore, kills and nudity with a lesser known cast. The first half was ok, after that the story is way too simple and predictable. Slightly different feel to the atmospheric first. The gore effects are good though. Worth a rent if you liked the first.

A nice, quick and enjoyable read. I should say that I shouldn't really class this short story as a 'romance' as it is more of a dose of 'smut'...but good smut I might add.
It outlines the bully/victim relationship with a splash of attraction and lust leaving the reader wanting more. In my personal opinion I can not stand bullies and people who abuse others so it makes me cringe a bit when these people are so easily forgiven. Even so I would definitely consider reading the possible sequel.

In the sequel, you get Mendanbar's pov. Again there is no dumbing down characters and common sense that most fairy tales lack. There is more magic in this book and is a little different paced. I think the plural of dragons is a slight misnomer and one of the characters can get a little too technical with his 50 cent words. & I don't mean the rapper. Although, it does get translated. This is a story that doesn't take itself to seriously and because of that it is enjoyable.

X-Men 2- Wolverines Revenge (available on ps2 & GC since 2003)
In this hit sequel, wolverine and the X-Men (pun intended) are being hunted following an assault on X mansion/school for gifted youngsters. During this, Logan/wolverine comes into contact with the leader of the assault, an unknown figure from his past, the past he doesn't remember.

Featuring some of the best Graphics and stunt work, gritty story telling & a returning cast, X-Men2 is one of the best action/sci-fi/fantasy movies of the early 2000's.

Amazing! Good to see M Night back on track.
It's good to see M Night (not butchering his last name here!) back on track with the dark and suspense filled Split. I couldn't keep my eyes off of it and I'm usually the sort of person doing 40 things at once while "watching" a movie or tv series.
It lacked the massive twist expected from M Night but it was better this way and I was pleased to discover the sequel coming out this year.

Nice!
This one is a couple years old, but turned out to be more entertaining than most "horror" movies of today. The acting wasn't the greatest, but it was good. The cinematography was done well and the story played out interestingly. Not what I expected from the description. This film has plenty of creep factor and intensity. Not big budget, but definitely done right. Only thing I didn't like was the typical Hollywood "leave-it-open-for-a-sequel" ending. However, that doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the film overall. Worth a watch!

Direct sequel to [b:Post-Human|7105194|Post-Human (Post-Human, #2)|David Simpson|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1400409353s/7105194.jpg|7363719], picking up roughly a year and a half after the events of that previous novel.

The entire Human Race has been returned to life (don't ask - read the previous novel), but they are about to come under threat again, this time from extra-terrestrial rather than terrestrial enemies.

As before, however, things are not always what they seem ...

Once again, this was an OK read, but nothing spectacular.

Direct sequel to "Raven: Blood Eye", "Raven: Sons of Thunder" picks up directly where that previous novel left off.

As appears to be becoming more common, the novel is 'bookended' by the protaganist remembering the events of his youth: in this case, the old Raven retelling the story of what happened after they were betrayed by the Saxon lord Ealdred (at the end of Blood Eye). These events will lead to the Viking fellowship travelling to the centre of Charlemagne's Frankish empire, where their cheiftan Sigurd 'the Lucky' luck may have run out ...
