David McK (3663 KP) rated Trans-Human (Post-Human, #3) in Books
Jan 30, 2019
Direct sequel to [b:Post-Human|7105194|Post-Human (Post-Human, #2)|David Simpson|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1400409353s/7105194.jpg|7363719], picking up roughly a year and a half after the events of that previous novel.
The entire Human Race has been returned to life (don't ask - read the previous novel), but they are about to come under threat again, this time from extra-terrestrial rather than terrestrial enemies.
As before, however, things are not always what they seem ...
Once again, this was an OK read, but nothing spectacular.

David McK (3663 KP) rated Raven: Sons of Thunder (Raven #2) in Books
Jan 30, 2019
Direct sequel to "Raven: Blood Eye", "Raven: Sons of Thunder" picks up directly where that previous novel left off.
As appears to be becoming more common, the novel is 'bookended' by the protaganist remembering the events of his youth: in this case, the old Raven retelling the story of what happened after they were betrayed by the Saxon lord Ealdred (at the end of Blood Eye). These events will lead to the Viking fellowship travelling to the centre of Charlemagne's Frankish empire, where their cheiftan Sigurd 'the Lucky' luck may have run out ...

David McK (3663 KP) rated The Crow Goddess (Lugh Mac Romain, #2) in Books
Jan 30, 2019
The sequel to "A Shadow of Gulls", the Crow Goddess continues the story of Lugh the Harper and Cuchullain, although reading the former is not a pre-requisite to reading this.
Whereas the previous novel revolved mainly around the Ulster series of Legends (most particularly the Cattle Raid of Cooley), this novel takes place in both Roman Britain (the first half, and prior to the building of Hadrians Wall) and Ireland. The second part of the novel - the part in Ireland itself - concerns Cuchullains legendary death more than his legendary life.
Well worth a read!

Chuckys design
Just finished watching not as good as the original but it's okay did we really need a child's play remake probably not. the acting was okay mark hamill on voice dutys good but not as good as Brad dourif and the chuckys look so wrong it just wasn't chucky. There are some kills in the movie which I like. Let's hope they don't make a sequel and go back to the original Chucky next time
Fred (860 KP) rated Kingdomino in Tabletop Games

The tiles are colorful & well made (3 more)
Game is fun
Minor strategy
Casual
Simple. Great for kids & casual gamers
Build your kingdom using tiles in a domino-style game. Score by matching zone types with crowns on your tiles. This game is a lot of fun & great for casual players. Heavy-duty players may find it too simplistic. The "sequel" Queendomino kicks it up a notch. But if you're gonna play with your kids or your wife, who may not be the biggest board game geek, this one is okay.

Well done
Im not a big Vin Diesel fan(you won't catch me watching any sequels to Fast and Furious) but I enjoyed his performance in this movie. This movie was very well done. Great cinematography, good acting and a cool, dark, fantastical story. Very entertaining with good characters, cool magic and a few interesting twists. I'm not sure how, but I think I'd enjoy a good sequel to this one. Fun and entertaining this one fits the criteria for a good movie. Watch it with thre family! Really worth a watch!
Brittany N. Staley (35 KP) rated Alita: Battle Angel (2019) in Movies
Jan 12, 2020
Overall the movie was good. The CGI was great and the fight scenes were excellent. The gore was a little much if it would have been humans it would have been an unrated movie so that was a little much. But the characters were likeable. The ending tho was terrible. The movie probably wasnt great enough to get a sequel nor does it need it. It just need a good ending and it would have gotten better ratings.
