Movie Metropolis (309 KP) rated Horrible Bosses (2011) in Movies
Jun 10, 2019
Horrible Bosses is a film that features an all-star cast with the likes of Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis to name but a few. It performed incredibly well at the box office and didn’t fare too badly with critics either – it was awarded a decent 69% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Aniston’s performance is tongue-in-cheek to say the least as she plays a hyper-sexed dentist. She’s funny and engaging in the role, losing the girl-next-door persona she had become criticised for overplaying in the past. Horrible Bosses and its sequel are well worth a watch.

After a year off from law, Mickey is ready to come back, but he gets more than he bargained for when a friend is killed and Mickey takes over his cases. One of those cases is a huge murder trial starting in just a week. Can Mickey handle this high profile case? Why was his predecessor murdered?
I really should have come back to this series sooner. The characters are outstanding and the plot was complex and twisty. I was glued to the story and will definitely be searching out the sequel.

Sean Farrell (9 KP) rated The Supernatural Enhancements in Books
Mar 15, 2018
It's hard to describe this novel. On the one hand there is a pretty straightforward mystery at its center, full of clever puzzles and hints of conspiracy. On the other though is a possible haunting, a weird romance, and a very unusual narrative structure. The book is told in the form of journal entries, letters, notepad scribblings, security camera transcripts, and other means. This method can be very effective at slowly revealing answers, and may make this possibly the first "found footage" novel, but it also somehow removes the suspense in many scenes, and periodically makes things unnecessarily confusing. Still, I enjoyed reading this book, and would be interested in a sequel, so that should say something.
Awix (3310 KP) rated Highlander 2: The Quickening (1991) in Movies

Which part of 'there can be only one' did the film-makers not get? Baffling sequel doesn't bother with an actual plot, settles for a succession of disjointed ideas and set pieces; barely makes sense on its own terms, is utterly incoherent if you consider the backstory established by the original movie.
Sean Connery chewing the scenery gives the film a certain appeal to lovers of ham acting; same is true of Michael Ironside. Christopher Lambert is still quite painful to listen to. Quite how the Highlander series managed to continue on for umpty-tump more sequels and TV episodes is a mystery: it is notable that this movie was quietly forgotten about and never mentioned again.

Abby and her brother Jonah make a shocking discovery when the mirror in the basement of their new house sucks them through and they find themselves in the woods. When they keep Snow White from eating the poisoned apple, they must find a way to fix her story and make it home.
This was a short but delightful story that anyone looking for an early chapter book will appreciate. A twist or two along the way even surprised me. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel.
I won this book in a contest.

Very well written and will leave you begging for the sequel!!
This is an amazing book...the first series I have been super excited about in a long time. The characters are very multi-dimensional with good and bad traits. You take a journey with the main character, Elloren, and see the world and other characters the way she does. The author is phenomenal at showing versus telling so you see the world that she has created and feel the history behind all of the cultures.
I have not been this excited about a series since Harry Potter. I have read this book 3 times and cannot wait until The Light Mage and The Iron Flower are available!!!

Great acting (3 more)
Great plot
Good twists
Full of suspense
Full of suspense and twists
I really enjoyed this movie. Felt like it was done on a small budget. Not too big of a cast and mainly film in an elevator. It all works to create something full of suspense and twists.
The acting was great and the writing was good. Constantly questioning everything that's happening.
The plot itself was a great concept about the consequences of one's actions. Even knowing the twists I can see myself watching this again. I'm surprised I ain't heard of a sequel to this unless it's very very small because I can see this concept being expanded upon.

A very good sequel to the first film. Just as bloody and violent as the first, maybe more so! There is plenty of action and it never really lets up. The way it is filmed especially the first attack in the house is raw and gritty and makes you feel you are there fighting for survival to! However the plot is a bit similar to most zombie films and obvious at times. The geography of London has changed a fair bit to taking minutes to get from east to central London if only! lol Overall a great thrill ride with plenty of action and memorable scenes, but you know what to expect by now.

An unnecessary sequel
As with all sequels, this one is pretty unnecessary. Whilst as sequels go it isn’t terrible, it just feels like it’s repeating the same old things over again, and not very well either. This film seems to have upped the ante on the gore and the body count, but it’s nowhere near as scary or creepy. It’s still quite entertaining and funny, it’s just not a patch on the original and the little twist at the end is a lame.
I’m shocked to see how many famous people are in this that I forgot about, namely Jack Black and Milton Dammers himself, Jeffrey Combs. Just a shame they couldn’t make this as good as the original.

Marvel keeps getting better and better can they top them with this movie in my opinion yes they did. Will Thanos complete his master plan???? The makeup for Thanos was a little off putting at first. Chris helmswoth, Chris Evans (with a beard), and Chris Pratt just those three alone how could you go wrong. The cliffhanger left us hanging in a good way but at the same time you go wtf. Preteen or teen Groot whatever you want to go by was a little off putting to me, but as a parent of teens it was like looking in a mirror. Definitely another homerun for marvel. Can't wait until the sequel
