I had read 'Wounds of Honour' a few years back, but wasn't really all that sold on it so never picked up (this) the sequel. That changed, however, when it was on sale for about £2 in my local bargain books.

Truth be told, however, I found this to actually be rather dry: it never really held my attention, or seemed to me that the plot took off in any shape or form. It probably doesn't help that all the characters seem very generic (I got the impression that the novel was more concerned with the minutiae of the Roman Legions than with characterization), with similar-sounding names: so much so, that half the time you have to keep flicking back through the book to find out who is who!

All-in-all: I doubt I'll be picking up the third book in the series anytime soon.

The gang is all here
I love this movie, i have seen it about five times. The animation is fantasic, the story is excellent, the charcters look great. Everything about this movie is excellent.

The plot: All is well at Mossy Bottom Farm, except for the fact that the animals will do anything to get out of work. So, Shaun the sheep and his scheming friends devise a plan to put their master to sleep. However, the ruse backfires when the poor farmer finds himself transported to the big city, having lost his memory. Now, it's up to Sean, Timmy the lamb, Shirley the ewe and the rest of the gang to travel to the metropolis and get him back, while not landing in even more trouble themselves.

Its really funny, adventurious, has a message, and overall a phenomenal movie and cant wait until the sequel.

A must watch movie.

No unnecessary sequel!
Catchy, heartfelt, and whimsical... suck it Disney!
Tulio and Muigel are a couple of con artists who need to make a hasty escape. Some shenanigans insue, and the pair find themselves far away from home, looking for the fabled city of gold, So Dorado.
They are mistaken for Aztec gods and must keep up their farce in order to leave with some gold, and their heads.
It comments on the way some cultures are explored by explorers and in its subtle way, teaches us to open out minds and eyes to the ways of others.
A beautiful tale of fun and friendship, the humour is great for kids, with some adult jokes in there to keep the parents entertained too.
One of DreamWorks great animated films, it is a must for all ages.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)

Action-adventure sequel from Lucas and Spielberg. Indiana Jones and his friends find themselves in India where they discover an ancient cult with plans on world domination.

Not quite the perfect, gleaming classic that the first film is, nor as much fun as the third, but if you want a knockabout adventure film that goes boom-boom-boom from one classic set-piece to the next virtually non-stop, then you could do very much worse than this. Watching closely you can tell there's a chunk in the middle where a subplot has been cut to keep up the pace and shorten the film, but apart from this it's a virtually perfect thrill-ride: not as subtle, thoughtful, or textured as Raiders, but then I'm not sure it was ever supposed to be. Still very reliable comfort viewing for those of us who grew up in the 80s.
