The best horror sequel ever?
How could anything truly top the great Halloween? Though the franchise has been riddled with cheese and just insane plot holes. This sequel of the original 1978 horror classic maybe one of the best horror sequels of all time let alone probably the best Halloween sequel ever? The film has a freaky atmosphere that seems to be directly copied from the original. Is that a bad thing? No not necessarily. The original sequels to the Halloween franchise have little to no atmosphere. Feels like more of the focus is promantly towards the "not so" mysterious Micheal Myers and less about setting the scene up for a good erie feeling. Which isn't to say that its easy to do. Much of a sequels scares come from the shocking and overrated "jump scare" aspect. Once you're shown the big bad on camera, it's hard to gain that same fear and mystery back. However in the 2019 film, it ramps it to 11. Maybe it's because we haven't seen Myers on the big screen for quite some time? There is something about seeing an older Myers that is so freaky to me. The cat and mouse plot twist is a wonderful change that makes this film a 9/10 for me. As a horror buff, I was so excited for this film so much that I didn't watch anything else for 2 months. I loved the film that much. Definitely a great watch.

Decent teen slasher movie
For a teen slasher movie this was good. I like the opening that gets your heart pumping a little but, we see a slow down at times. The story is creative and fun. Some of the ideas were taken from other movies but, according to a certain character he lays out all the premises on how they happen and they kind of do. Did this movie need 4 sequels no but one to tie everything together yes.

After watching this movie, it made me want to read the books and made me wish I knew more science. It’s nice that most of the cast is female. We need more movies with women who can kick ass. Definitely some odd things in this movie, but they made it worth watching. Didn’t quite live up to the hype though in my opinion. I was expecting a little more than they gave, but I can’t hate on the movie. Hoping someone does the sequels.

"I was just a monumental fan of both Tony Scott as a director and Eddie Murphy. I suppose you can probably tell now — and especially by if you watch Hardcore Henry, the performance styles of Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy, and Jim Carrey, that type of performance — Peter Sellers, which was obviously a bit before my time — but as I grew up going back and watching that, I love those kinds of actors. It’s interesting all the sequels [I have] in here too [laughing]."

I remember watching this movie back in early nineties late night on tv thinking this was a corny bit silly for a horror movie but I thought it was still funny and I kinda liked it now ive watched again 30 years later is it as good as I remember yes I laughed especially when George wendt turns up basically playing norm from cheers without the bar the effects are bit outdated but the makeup effects are excellent. Maybe I should watch the three sequels some time

Despite Eddie Redmayne's best attempts, and the inclusion of 'Star power' in the form of Johnny Depp, the first Harry Potter prequel 'Fantastic Beasts and where to find them' didn't really set all that high a bar for any subsequent sequels.

A bar that this fails to meet.

Honestly, I found it long, boring, plodding and confusing, completely lacking in any of the sense of wonder or magic and friendship that made the original Harry Potter films so enjoyable.

Not impressed to say the least!

Been watching on Netflix as a follow up to the pink panther but not a sequel it's not bad a movie Peter is excellent as clouseau this time investigating a murder in usual bumbing style. Plus the introductions of Herbert Lom and Burt kwork who would later both appear in the pink panther sequels. Also Henry Mancini theme is up there with the pink panther theme overall good film Shane no pink panther

"Get to the choppa!"
Classic 1980s action movie; the first (and best) of the Predator films.

Full of classic one-liners (too many to recount here), with Arnie as the leader of the Special Forces rescue team who find themselves hunted by an extraterrestrial warrior (never actually called a Predator in the movie!) who seems to view the Central American jungle as a game park.

What this one gets right, and what the sequels largely missed, is the memorable supporting characters in Arnie's Platoon.

Another unnecessary sequel
It's such a shame the Saw films have got to this. The original was in my opinion, brilliant especially with that twist. Even the second film was fairly decent. Sadly the rest of the sequels got gradually worse and more convoluted until we finally thought we'd seen the end in the "Final Chapter"... but alas no, they still can't let Jigsaw rest and have now brought everything back in a new film and most likely numerous sequels - I'll bet everything I own that this won't be the sole Jigsaw film!

I had low expectations for this and I wasnt disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't bored and it kept me entertained even if it was fairly silly and bad. It just could've been so much better.

The acting was in the most part atrocious and cheesy. Only Tobin Bell really came out of this unscathed. The traps and gore seemed lame and a bit boring in comparison with the other films, although this is kind of explained by the twist ending, but it still isn't acceptable. And the twists themselves, so predictable and unoriginal! Saw them coming a mile off, proving that the more sequels you have, the more film makers struggle to for originality. The plot itself also didn't make sense in parts - it vaguely tied in to the Saw films but didn't directly throw back to the actual ending of the 7th film. Major plot holes both relating to that and the twist ending here that they obviously didn't want to think about.

This is alright if you're bored and need something to watch - especially when there's nobody else in the cinema screen! But sadly it's a poor tribute to the original Saw film, like most of its predecessors.

Drunk Johnny Part 1
Yo-Ho, what do you get when you based you movie off of a disney ride, a great movie. Yes you read the correctly, this movie is based off of the ride at disney. So how does a 20-30 minute ride turn into a 2h and 20min movie, well you expand it. Expand it and make it have a great plot, good charcters, a great villian and a drunking Johnny Depp or Johnny Depp playing pirate Keith Richards.

The Plot: Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) arrives at Port Royal in the Caribbean without a ship or crew. His timing is inopportune, however, because later that evening the town is besieged by a pirate ship. The pirates kidnap the governor's daughter, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), who's in possession of a valuable coin that is linked to a curse that has transformed the pirates into the undead. A gallant blacksmith (Orlando Bloom) in love with Elizabeth allies with Sparrow in pursuit of the pirates.

It was also significant in being the first film released under the Walt Disney Pictures banner to be rated PG-13 by the MPAA.

The film spun off four sequels, with the latest sequel released in 2017. The first two were back-to-back sequels in 2006 and 2007, Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, respectively. The third sequel, On Stranger Tides, was released in 2011. The fourth sequel, Dead Men Tell No Tales, was slated to begin production in October 2014 for a summer 2016 release, but was eventually delayed to May 2017. It was directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg. While none of the sequels matched the critical acclaim of the first film, they were still box office successes nevertheless.

It is a classic movie, it has comedy, action, adventure and most importanly pirates.
