Felt like there were a few plot holes
Could have been better
I was looking forward to this as it's been a while since there has been a good cop, serial killer film. It has a good cast and nice, picturesque setting in Norway. Overall I did enjoy it and I haven't read the book to compare it to. It does feel like a few plot lines aren't explained fully... I'm sure parts in the trailer aren't even in the film? The ending was a let down though after the build up. A good film that had great potential.

Consistent on keeping you on your toes. (0 more)
A true read.
Every chapter ending in you just dying to know everything. who doesn't like a good book that keeps you intrigued? Definitely a book to keep you guessing. Throughout always keeping you on both the killer and detective side. It has been a while since i picked up a book and wanted to read it straight to the end. But Chris Carter has a way of doing it. None of his books have let me down. He does a collection leading up to this one book following the same detective on his different stories. Catching serial killers and bringing the undetectable.

A dark, compelling read.

I went through many feelings whilst reading this......sadness, anxiety, disbelief to name a few. It's hard to think of being many floors up and not being safe.

Although this happened years ago it still makes you stop and realise that things like this still happen. The thought of knowing a serial killer, being friendly with one, sends a shiver down my spine. How Mike, and the others, dealt with that afterwards, well, it's a testament to their inner strength.

I like how all the details thread together and the way things are easy to understand without being overly technical.

What an absorbing read Dark Roads which kept me engaged.

This is a disturbing story of a highway littered with white crosses and 'missing' posters which is the hunting ground for a serial killer who prays on women who are unfortunate enough to find themselves alone on this particular stretch of road.

With great characters, a dark and claustrophobic setting and with great twists, this is an engaging read which, although, starts off a little slow, the atmosphere builds and builds to a very satisfying ending.

Thank you to Little, Brown Book Group UK and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of Dark Roads.
