I liked this book, but not as much as the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. Some of the main characters from that series do carry over into this new series. The story is based at Camp Half-Blood, but I wasn't as hooked into the plot as I was with the other series. That being said I will continue to read the forthcoming books in the series so I guess it wasn't that bad.

Each book in the Red Queen Series continues to get better than the one before. Well worth staying with the series to get to this point. Another ending that has you scrambling for the next book in the series.

I enjoyed book one of the BDB series more than I thought I would. I have been asked so many times if I've read J.R. Ward's series? I can now say that I've read (and very much enjoyed) Dark Lover. I very much look forward to reading the rest of the series as well as Ward's Fallen Angels Series! :)
