Game of Thrones Series - Song of Ice and Fire
Great series! I read them all and want more!! Even with the TV show by HBO surpassing the whole series of novels, the books are great! I love the series and this is by far my second try at Fantasy. After Lord of the Rings series I wanted to try these since the Show was so awesome. The books help with the storylines especially knowing who's who in the game of thrones that they play. With the books you are able to understand the characters background and their back stories. I highly recommend the Game of Thrones for more "meat" on thee bones!

By far the worst series yet
The latest series of the zombie thriller follows on from series 7, with Negan still in power and demanding tribute from the communities. Though those communities are now starting to rebel and fight back. The series is something of a roller coaster with ups and downs, but few twists or turns. The action plods along for the most part and only 4 or 5 episodes really excite or add much to the storyline. I think this series has stuck closer to the comics than previous ones, though the comics did not drag the action out as long.
David McK (3419 KP) rated Boundless (The Lost Fleet: Outlands, #1) in Books

The first in a new series by Jack Campbell but following characters previously introduced in his 'Lost Fleet' series (never mind the various spin-offs, including the 'Lost Stars' series) and so, as a result, I'm not sure it would really be a good 'jumping-on' point for any new readers to the series.
For those who *have* read the previous aforementioned series, though?
You know what you're getting: more politics, more 'real time' space action and more intrigue, with Captain 'Jack Black' Geary surviving assassination attempts on his life and put in charge of a mission to contact the aliens known as 'The Dancers', who have popped up in previous novels.
More of the same, really, but sometimes that's no bad thing!

Excellent Fantasy Series
I love Robin Hobb's books because they are all amazing. The Assassin's Apprentice is the first book in The Farseer trilogy and it's an excellent series. This is the book that starts it all and it is interesting with complex characters and wonderful storytelling. It's an excellent fantasy series and she has later books that involve more adventures with Fitz and the Fool that are equally brilliant.

Love these books, so much more in them than in the series. Don't get me wrong I like the series as well yet with the books I can read them over and over again, which I can't do with the series unless I can afford to buy the DVD's. In the books we find out a lot more about the characters and how they became queen of the dragons, etc.

This is the first book in this series by this author. This is a mafia romance story. Amazing characters, which were very intriguing to learn about. The chemistry between the characters is definitely hot and steamy. I can't wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.
Highly recommended start to the series

Bostonterrio (13 KP) rated Bloodline - Season 3 in TV

Left more questions
Liked the first season, second season was incredible but tge 3rd season had me wondering what the hell was going on. The series was canceled and I believe due to that many subplots were abandoned and the main storyline was curtailed into a jumbled mess. Ending was dismal for all and the series ending left many unanswered questions. Not one likeable character in the entire series.

I was hooked on this tv series from the first episode. The cinematography the soundtrack the story line the actors are all excellent. Set in Birmingham in the 1920’s based on the lives of a notorious gang led by the Shelby family which is meant to be based on true stories of this era in this area. Can’t wait for the next series
