I really enjoyed this book. I love the "Black Dagger Brotherhood" series so I thought that I would give this series a try.

The beginning of the book was quite slow but it picked up pace after the first few chapters. I loved how she had characters from BDB in this book, they are definitely not main characters but I loved how it combined both series. It really made me smile!

I will definitely continue on in this series but I'm not expecting to love it as much as the BDB. All in all, this was a great book!

fab read
This is the second book in this series by this author. This is such an amazing story, so beautifully written with such emotions in every word. You need to read the first book in this series to fully understand the story between the characters. This book has mystery, drama, action and lots of tension. Amazing wellwritten characters, you will fall in love from the start. I can't wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.

Highly recommended series

LOVE this series
I have watched 7 episodes of the 10 episodes series.

I feel this series is beautifully written. It makes you want to delete all your social media accounts lol. I feel Penn Badgley is really good for the role as it reminds me of Dan Humphreys in Gossip Girl but a lot darker. It makes you feel what you really do on social media and make you evaluate what you do and make yourself safe.

I will be watching more of this series.

The second book in 'The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier' spin-off from 'The Lost Fleet' series, with most of the same characters (so, in a way, the 7th book in the series).

Whereas the previous book primarily concerned the outbound portion of their mission (to investigate the extent of enigma - aliens discovered in the 'original' series - space), in this the fleet starts its journey home with the novel picking up almost directly from the end of that previous story.

They also don't (yet) make it all the way home - have to leave room for the next entry in the series, after all!

A very good 2nd series
I breezed through the 2nd series very quickly, again only 7 episodes long. Perry's Mum, the excellent Meryl Streep, turns up and has many questions about her sons death. Will the Monterey 5 be able to keep it together or will many things start to unravel for them? It's maybe not as dramatic as the first series storyline or have as many big reveals. However the writing is just as good and the story is gripping. If you liked the first series you should like this as well.

This is the final book in the Circle of Magic series and was a wonderful end. This was certainly the most emotional of the books in the series and continued the strength this series has in creating strong friendships. I am not going to lie, this book made me cry a little, but I enjoyed the emotional rollercoaster. I am so glad I picked up this series, even though it took me so long after starting the Tortall books eight years ago, but I loved these books and characters. I am definitely going to keep exploring this world.

First entry in Angus Donald's new 'Fire Born' Viking series, in which the main character is what we would term as a Berserker (although never named as such).

This is set in an even earlier time period than his 'Holcroft Blood' series (set during the time of Charles II) or even his even-earlier set 'Outlaw' series (about Robin Hood), but - unfortunately - I found it to be inferior to both.

That's not to say that it's bad; just that it didn't resonate (with the twists not really hitting home) as much with me as this earlier series did.

World building (0 more)
WOWOWOW. I picked up this book after a million recommendations from tiktok of all places, and it did not disappoint. I waited until I'd finished the current books in the series to review any, and I can say that this is my least favorite of the series, but still earns 5 stars easily for me! If you're having a hard time getting into it, I guarantee it gets better. I fell in love with the characters in this series. The world building is amazing, and this has easily become my favorite series. So thankful to have come across this.
