The final entry in Bernard Cornwell's long-running 'Saxon Stories'/'The Last Kingdom'/Warrior Chronicles' (the series name seems to keep changing), that first started way back in the early noughties with The Last Kingdom, with the series following Uhtred of Bebbanburg: born a Saxon, raised by the Danes and reluctantly fighting for Alfred (the future 'the Great') of Wessex.

We're now into his - Alfred's - grandchildren time, and the notion of England has now come to all but fruition: indeed, by the end of this novel, and after the battle of Brunanburgh, all of the counties are united under the rule of Aethelstan.

A fitting end to the series.

A turbulent series
A decent series that will get you hooked early on. Shades of Lost after a plane lands after hitting some turbulence, only for the passengers to find out they have been missing for 5 years.
This is followed by strange events connecting the passengers as they have a type of connection.
It starts well and there is a real interest to find out what happened and why. Mid-series it takes a slightly different direction for a few episodes but is back on track with strange revelations by the end. Enjoyable just a shame about some of the poor cgi used in some scenes.

Probably the 2nd best film in the series after the original. It's a bit different to the rest in a good way and has a good ending.

Good location for a change in the series, most of the film takes place on a small cruise ship. However it gets quite silly towards the end.

Commentary horror can be really good if the balance is right. This entry in the series was enjoyable and I felt was really close to that balance.

Good start to the series
This world is so unique and captivating. Although, the relationship was so rushed and felt really unrealistic.
