This one goes from street racing to heist film, but there are plenty of big stunts, fights, sexy girls, humour, a cool soundtrack and of course a range of awesome cars. I love that there are so many ties with the cast and events to the previous films. The Rock is a great addition to the series as the extreme FBI hunter sent to capture them. You couldn't ask for more from an action film!

Lindsay (1735 KP) rated Twice a Bride (The Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek, #4) in Books
Feb 15, 2018
You learn about Ida and Tucker Raines a bit about them. You lean about each of the Sinclair sisters or about their family. This book is mostly about Harlan Sinclair and Mrs. Hattie, mostly about Willow Peterson as well. Tucker's sister.
The book is about two widows and a second chance at love. There are other surprises though out the book. I really enjoyed this book along the with the series. Now understand that I have yet to read the first two books in this series. I read and own the last two books. Those books are called "The Bride That Wore Blue", "Twice the Bride".

Cyn Armistead (14 KP) rated The Nightmare Stacks: A Laundry Files Novel in Books
Feb 23, 2018
There are a fair number of cringe-worthy scenes, if you (like me) are embarrassed when anyone else is. Of course, this is a comedy/horror/science fiction/fantasy series, so there are the requisite horrid things in the plot. If you've gotten this far in the series, I shouldn't need to warn you about that. I really wouldn't choose this volume as an entry point if I were you.

Sarah (7799 KP) rated Killing Eve in TV
Oct 13, 2018
The series starts off very strongly and the first few episodes are fantastic, however I did think it got a little bit strange and maybe a little too serious as the episodes moved along. Whilst this isn’t a huge problem, I did think it lost some of the magic from earlier in the series. I’d be intrigued to see how the second series pans out.

David McK (3533 KP) rated Leviathan (The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier, #5) in Books
Jan 30, 2019
Unlike the previous in the series ([b: Steadfast|17230200|Steadfast (Spellcaster, #2)|Claudia Gray|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1372091229s/17230200.jpg|23745045]), the majority of this is given over to (numerous) and relativistic space-time battles, instead of to the politicking of before. Perhaps too much so, however ...
(It's almost as if [a: Jack Campbell|55547|Jack Campbell|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1302415236p2/55547.jpg] has over-compensated from what appears to be a common criticism of the previous)

Ross (3284 KP) rated Stranger Things - Season 3 in TV
Aug 15, 2019
While the series continues to be atmospheric and full of nice 80s references, I really think I am starting to tire of the show. The fact that it is supposed to be centred around the kids is strong, and yet they get involved in so little of the action that it is a let-down. Imagine if in the Goonies the gang got to One-eyed Willie's booby traps only for Chunk's uncle to appear to get them through it, while they complain about snogging in braces.
Hopefully series 4 will be more interesting and mix things up a little.
